First visit to the Cook House. First impressions were very good, friendly greeting by the staff, restaurant was done out very tastefully and had a warm, comfortable and welcoming vibe. There were some bits of food and crumbs left on the seating at our table from previous guests, possibly a slight oversight by staff when cleaning and making the table, but this didn’t detract from our experience. The menu was very minimal particularly for the mains, I would have liked to have had a few more options to choose from. We counted about 8 mains. Whilst they were all varied, it missed a few more choices. However when the food came, it was super! Can not fault the quality, presentation or portion size, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Overall a good experience. Staff were great.

Lovely atmosphere , clean & new . Friendly staff cheerful & helpful. Mainly been for lunches good value . Lots of parking.

Brilliant. Two friends new to Cook House thrilled with venue, food and particularly friendliness of staff. Will be visiting again very soon.

The service was excellent as always. It was a ladies that lunch experience the only thing that let it down slightly was it was very noisy in the conservatory area at points we struggled to hear our conversation. But this won’t put me off going again because the rest of it was 11/10. Amazing friendly staff well done.

Polite accommodating staff, nothing too much trouble. Fabulous food, handsome portions. Drinks good value. Lovely surroundings. What more could you ask for

We visited today for a Sunday lunch as a family of 5. We were seated in the beautiful conservatory area which was heated and lovely and warm. Our orders were taken quickly by a friendly American chap, who was very helpful and attentive. Our roasts were plentiful and we were offered extra veg if needed, we all throughly enjoyed our roast dinner. Puddings were also divine. Really great value for money with great service, we will definitely visit again.

Great ambience and food was excellent. Waiting staff were attentive and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. We have eaten here on a handful of occasions and always had excellent meals. However- my only disappointment was to see on a Wednesday evening approx 8.30pm, kitchen staff walking through the restaurant whilst diners were eating, carrying large catering tubs of food ( looked like it was going for refrigeration ) and in one journey , a large kitchen waste bin. This wasn’t a one off trip but about 5 trips by kitchen staff. A bit off putting
