Our culinary teams are working tirelessly on our innovative gluten free menu, while keeping the distinctive, traditional flavour of our most popular European dishes. To enjoy with your meal, we have an extensive stock of sumptuous wines, fine European beers, rare spirits and even small batch, nearly impossible to find Trappist ales.

The menu reflects a central and eastern European influence with the tastes of Poland, Germany, Hungary and Austria all amazingly and deliciously Gluten-Free.

-Reservations are always recommended for the best experience possible.

We had a nice experience, including pleasant interactions with the personable greeter and an excellent waitress. The food was great, for the first time, I thought, matching what I have come to expect at the mother-ship Whyte Ave location. Generally, I prefer tables to booths to minimize disruptions during the sitting; however, we had a (comfortable) booth and I found disruptions more difficult than I prefer as we were on a tight timeline to make a show. CT is not inexpensive and I’d rate overall value/$ as only medium unless one has time to linger into an evening. The showtime fixed menu options are appreciated but when it is eat and run, there is not much opportunity to enjoy the ambiance, although this is something mostly under the control of diners wrt reservation time. The soup came quickly but there was more lag than was comfortable between the soup and main courses, leading to a forced rush for the glory wrt dessert.

This our go-to restaurant before the symphony or theatre because of its close proximity, but more importantly, because of the high quality meal we are consistently served. Sauerkraut soup, rouladen, cabbage roll and salted caramel cheesecake are our favourites. The coffee is amazing too!

Continental Treat Bistro offered an exceptional dining experience. While a central feature of the restaurant is that all the food is gluten free, you wouldn't even know it if you were not told. I had the daily special pierogis, which were stuffed with curry chicken and topped with butter chicken sauce. They were flavorful, well-cooked, and the serving was generous. My wife had the sauerkraut and wild mushroom pierogis and swapped the wild mushroom sauce for the Hungarian goulash sauce. She thought the combination was perfect. My mother in law had the German Meat Cabbage Roll which was ample and served with a tomato sauce. She also reported her meal was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a definite Eastern European feel.

A very comfortable and relatively quiet ambience with an extensive variety of food and drink. The location in the heart of downtown, a short walk from the Arts District, was very convenient.

The setting, ambiance, service and food presentation was fantastic. The prices were a little steep, but I thought that the food would be really spectacular. Well it wasn't up to my expectations quality and taste wise (and that's okay, everyone has different tastes). Would I go back again? Absolutely I would. Maybe my next dish there will be the spectacularness that I'm looking for. The dill pickle soup while good, could have been creamier and the tiramisu for dessert, sadly, didn't taste like tiramisu. It was just a cake that had coffee flavoring, but was quite dry. Would I order those again? Likely not, but all the more reason to explore the menu of varied dishes. I would really like to try the perogies next time. Great place for a special occasion, date night or dinner out with friends.

We went to the Jasper Avenue location before a Winspear concert. The service was excellent! The pork schnitzel was amazing. I was surprised to see a live band which elevated the noise level quite a bit. You could still have a conversation and the music was very good. The food was good but having been to Europe and having eaten the traditional dishes, I was a bit let down. If you have never had food in Germany or Austria before, I am sure you would love it from this restaurant.
