The team extraordinary. The hostess was warm and welcoming and Megan our server was professional and attentive. The bus team could not have been more thoughtful and focused on our needs. Unfortunately the terrific service cannot make up for the unappetizing food. The New England Clam Chowder was full of yummy clams but served in a watery soup with butter on top. Fish and chips, Fish okay, chips were delicious. Dinner rolls were like something you can find on the shelf of any grocery chain. Really the food needs to up its game to match the hard working team that serves it graciously.

A fabulous find for a delicious dinner with exceptional service. I really needed a really nice night out without all the fuss, just yummy food & good vibes and they exceeded my expectations. Haven’t written a review like this in a very long time and it’s well-deserved. I will be back.

Can’t say enough about the quality of the food and service (shout out to our server Vince, he was great). We were expecting another bland Southern California seafood place but everything was fresh and flavorful. Good selection of oysters, Rhode island chowder a delight and rarely seen in West Coast eateries, along with the steamer clams. we no longer have to go to Maine for decent seafood.

The menu items that we ordered were vastly different than what we expected. The steamers were good, but the small portion was overpriced.

The food is always excellent. This time the noise levels were a little too loud.....but I guess that is to be expected when sitting in the bar area.

Just a very good restaurant. Food is terrific. Service is exceptional. Ambiance is super casual. A great place for large groups. One of my favorites.

I'm disappointed with our last trip to Connie and Ted's. I brought my parents earlier in the year when they were visiting, and they hadn't stopped talking about it since. They had the absolute best time, we stayed for a while and ordered a decent amount of food and drinks. It was clearly memorable for the manager and chef as well, because when I brought my parents to the restaurant a couple weeks ago, they remembered us. The manager who we love (Randy) stopped by our table multiple times and the chef sent out a dish (one of the best we had on this night). However, our experience this time around was not great. We let our server know that we like to order as we go, share food, and take our time. After ordering 24 oysters and grilled calamari for round 1, she told us that the chef prefers everything to be ordered at once. So we hurried to pick out some options as she waited impatiently. We asked that things be brought out as they were ready, hoping we could still enjoy 1-2 dishes at a time while we drank heavily and caught up. Nope - all of the dishes appeared at our table at once, there wasn't even room for everything. Most of the dishes on the menu warrant sharing (there are very few "meal" dishes, plus sandwiches, but who orders sandwiches for dinner? - that's a lunch item.) Since we rushed, we ended up picking out dishes that were - quite honestly - subpar. The crab cakes were fine. Just fine. The fish dip was also fine. It's a cold dip - what can you expect? And finally, the mussels were fishy (the clams that came in the same order were good). We didn't even bother complaining when the bussers came to clear the table. Our server clearly wanted us out, so we just took the check. Since we were being hurried through this experience, we did dessert at my house. It's a shame. The night before, we had a table at BOA Steakhouse where we sat from 6:45pm - 11pm and our server made almost $300 for letting us enjoy the meal as we intended. We'll go back there next time.
