VIP Experience: Enjoy the sun on our private area on Edmonton's best patio offering the best views of the river valley and comfortable seating while your party of 6-8 indulges in our cocktails and culinary offerings of Confederation Lounge & Patio (food and beverage can be ordered from the menu). Your reservation gives you the table for a maximum of 2.5hrs and a Minimum Food and Beverage spend of $1200 inclusive of Tax and Gratuity. We are happy to accommodate smaller parties on the tables, however we do require that the full table be purchased.

We chose the iconic Mac to take friends visiting from Switzerland. We had hoped it would be a showcase to the Hotel, the food and a starting introduction to the city. Sorry to say it was very disappointing. Took a long time for host to arrive for seating even though restaurant/balcony only had a few people. They did accommodate moving tables out of the sun. Host was impersonal and not engaged or welcoming. Fabric seating was stained. Salads and chicken wings just ok. We expect much better from The Mac.

*Disappointing Food Experience* I visited this restaurant yesterday to celebrate my daughter's sweet sixteen and make the occasion special for her. While the service and ambiance were excellent, the food was a major letdown and all of us ended up with stomach upset. This was a huge disappointment, especially since we were looking forward to a wonderful dining experience. On the positive side, the service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was great. However, the food quality needs significant improvement. I hope the restaurant takes my feedback constructively and makes necessary changes to ensure that guests have a wonderful dining experience in the future.

Taco Tuesday on the patio is NOT worth it. Tacos were horrible, plain, no flavor, hard shells were like store bought, low quality, and understuffed, no sides, just overall bad. Not what you would expect from The Fairmont.

We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and it was such an amazing experience. Great service amazing food and the view from our table was breathtaking. We’ll be back soon!

The Fairmont Mac's generous and gracious patio has to be the best (somewhat secret) spot in Edmonton to enjoy a leisurely lunch when warm and sunny weather beckons us outside. There's simply no better venue for taking in Edmonton's stunning river valley vistas while enjoying a delicious and relaxing lunch. You want to take someone out for a special meal or significant occasion or simply get together to talk and enjoy the view - this is the place. And afterwards enjoy a stroll down to the gardens to sit in the Muskoka chairs, enjoy the flowers and even wider views of the river. You can dine under the permanent canopy or not, and the outside grill means your hamburger comes fresh to you from just steps away. Also like a shout out to the lovely mocktails and beautiful desserts. Enjoy!

Our server was great. We went for an anniversary lunch and they brought us a dessert on the house. The patio is beautiful and the inside as well.

Best serving patio in Edmonton with an unbeatable view of the river and river valley. Excellent servers and delicious dinner lounge menu and quality wines. Where else can you order a glass of champagne from Veuve Clicquot?
