The place looks very nice and the music was good, and at the perfect level, to still be able to talk. But we were a bit disappointed with the cocktails, especially for the price.

Great service, food was good (brussel sprouts and scotch egg but actually the steak was disgusting but the other 2 more than made up for it). Amazing cocktails and very friendly service. It's our 2nd favorite bar from this owner.

Another wonderful evening at Compton Ave! • The ambience is so richly welcoming, so beautifully thought out with the leather seating, dark tones, and antique touches. • Service was outstanding, starting with a proper welcome at the door, professionalism and artistry from the bartenders and the servers detailed descriptions of each plate we ordered. • Dinner was delicious! We ordered steak, fries and scotch egg. Each was robust with flavours and texture.

The ambience is one of a kind, needless to say. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. My only feedback is the variety and size of the appetizers. Charcuterie was very small in size.

We were really excited to celebrate New Year's at this venue, given its classy interior and beautiful Christmas decorations. However, we were extremely disappointed by the DJ, whose music didn’t align at all with the atmosphere. We were expecting something more sophisticated, like piano music or a similar genre, to match the elegant setting. Unfortunately, the DJ’s choices were completely out of place, and it detracted from the experience. Based on this, we wouldn’t recommend this venue for a more refined celebration.

12/10 would recommend this place. It was probably the best bar I went to in Toronto in 2024. It has a moody vibe with tasteful Christmas decor. It felt like stepping into a bar in London and honestly, I don't know how time went by. Me and my friend sat at the bar and it did get a bit loud but I didn't mind. The service was amazing. The bartenders helped us select great drinks and were very attentive. We only got the fries here which were fresh and nice. I highly recommend getting the sticky toffee pudding, it was delicious. And for the drinks, they were expertly created. I got the Negroni from the Christmas menu and loved it!

Atmosphere was really lovely during the holidays and beautiful for pictures. Unfortunately, the drink menu did not appeal to me at all with the majority of cocktails being made with gin which I can’t have, and the bar was unable to accommodate any substitutions. Ended up going with our servers suggestion of the Umeboshi without gin, since I didn’t like the sounds of anything else, but didn’t personally enjoy it. We didn’t have any food but the options sounded good.
