Welcome to Community Matters Cafe!

By coming in for a great cup of coffee, enjoying a farm-to-table meal, or hosting your next business meeting in our fully appointed private meeting room, you are playing an important part in our program. Community Matters Cafe serves as an extension program of Charlotte Rescue Mission, a non-profit organization that provides free residential recovery services to individuals struggling with substance abuse and homelessness.
Students in the six-month Community Matters Cafe Life Skills Program will tackle topics such as adhering to a schedule, financial responsibility, and healthy ways to cope with conflict and stress while managing their recovery.

When you visit our cafe, you are not only reinforcing the essential life skills our students are learning, but you are showing them that they have a community that believes in their future and helping TO RESTORE HOPE!

Really enjoyed a late breakfast with friends. Everyone ordered something different and all were pleased with their meal. Highly recommend.

We had lunch as pat of our first visit. The BLT sandwich, gets, and salmon Kale Ceasar salad were excellent. The only element better is the restaurants Mission. We will make this a regular favorite.

Community Matters Cafe never disappoints. The corn salad with grilled chicken was fabulous (of course I added some of their ranch dressing - the best!) Lynn provided wonderful customer service and was delightful!
