Common Ground Bar and Eatery is a neighborhood restaurant and bar situated in the rapidly growing Berry Hill. The menu features approachable yet elevated cuisine, accompanied by a world-class cocktail program. Reservations and walk-ins both welcomed for dinner, lunch, and brunch. The space offers a hip-casual atmosphere designed with a modern-simplistic feel. It also includes a large, covered patio for weather-protected outdoor dining.

The beverage program consists of Wes Taylor, formerly of The Patterson House and M Street Entertainment; and Matt Ramos, a certified sommelier recently at Tony Mantuano's Yolan and Kayne Prime Steakhouse.

Atmosphere is quaint, intimate and laid back. The wait staff are friendly and helpful with the menu. I recommend the focaccia bread as a starter. We were a party of three and each person enjoyed their entree order. Parking was simple.

This is a great place for a business lunch! It is quiet, the food is awesome and service is great. I had the smashed burger which I believe might be the best in town. My associate had the fish tacos and said they were awesome. Can't wait to go back.

Croissant trío was fabulous. However, service was slow. I had to get up to ask for a refill on our drinks. I had the shrimp and “grits”, and the shrimp were severely over cooked, the polenta was super salty (I love salt), and the cream sauce was separated. Really wanted to love this place based on the reviews. 😔

Excellent brunch service and food was delicious. Mimosa good and sorghum bruschetta really nice with cheese spread,jam, sorghum butter. Roasted potatoes I would get again as my side for over easy eggs.

I’ve been to those experiences over food restaurants before and this was that. The server was super nice and sweet, but I mean I paid over $170 for two meals and drinks. The menu is tiny, but not as tiny as the portions and actual venue. I made reservations for a date night and they didn’t even have a table ready for us at the time, then they sat us with another couple (that wasn’t with us) at a table with the only thing in between us was a single chair. Overall, I would never go back but it’s not the worst place I’ve ever been.

The Valentines day tasting menu was amazing! The portions were a little on the small side at first glance, but the meal as a whole (four courses) was the perfect size. We both opted for the NY strip entree, but there was also a scallop option. Each course was easily a 4.5-5/5. Common Ground has a small, cozy atmosphere. It was pretty quiet, but we were also there late afternoon, well before the dinner rush started due to an event we were attending later. The setting is casual with a hint of fine dining, but that might also be from the Valentines Day ambiance.
