The Colonial Cafe recreates the atmosphere of the halcyon days of the planters of Malaya and offers authentic classical cuisine from the colonial era. Plush red leather chairs, crisply starched white tablecloths and timber paneling reinforce the colonial feel. Located in the Majestic Wing, it seats 120 both indoors as well as in outdoor covered courtyards. Dine to the soothing music renditions by The Solianos, descendants of the legendary maestro Alfonso Soliano, a family whose musical traditions are entrenched in the nation's history.

The cafe is beautiful and the piano music adds to the ambience. The staff is very attentive and the food delicious.

We requested vegetarian at the time of reservation, didn’t get it. The savories were very salty and greasy. There was no choice of teas, only one was served. Wild, noisy, uncontrolled children running around screaming. The wait staff did nothing to stop them.

I found the staffs were VERY unfriendly and there was no tea selection for the afternoon tea session.

Great dinner setting for a classical night of memories made, reminiscent of the 1950s set up. Meals were well prepared and scrumptious over a nostalgic night of the Malaysian Independence Day.

The overall experience in Majestic hotel is fabulous! Except for the dessert is too sweet, we love the pastry, and tea!! And not forgetting to mention the atmosphere!!! Love the “British ancient” design and vibe! Good service too ❤️❤️❤️

Colonial cafe a perfect place for catch-up with close friends and family however, to be mindful of the afternoon set which to confirm for 2pax or 1 otherwise best to opt for ala-carte menu

When we arrived, we were not greeted by any staff and there was no reception, so we were kind of lost as to where to go. We had to go to the cashier in the middle of the room to find our reservation. Food was just okay, and you only have one option of black tea or black coffee, which is a disappointment knowing that many other afternoon teas we’ve been to have more options for you to choose from. A nice surprise was the complimentary chocolate cake they gave because of my birthday but when we asked to take away the leftover food including the (uneaten) cake, they missed packing the cake. We didn’t realise until we got home so we didn’t even get to taste it. The best thing was the ambience, it still is one of the nicest places to have tea in KL. However, 1.5 hours into our tea, a large group of tourists arrived, occupying 5 large tables immediately adjacent to ours, and suddenly the ambience changed to that of a canteen/market. Good thing we were about to leave. This is my 4th time coming here for tea over the past 10-12 years and sadly, looks like the experience has deteriorated. It is at the moment one of the cheaper afternoon teas for 5-star hotels in KL though, so maybe come here if you don’t want to pay the ridiculous prices at other hotels of its level.

Wonderful experience. For those who are no longer curious about orchids: the writing room is also great, with a different feeling of tranquility than the lobby and an outdoor lawn.

歴史のあるホテルで雰囲気が素晴らしいです。スタッフのサービスも味も全てにおいて大満足でした。次にマレーシアに来た時もリピート確定です。
