We really enjoyed our pre-concert dinner at Colonel Saab's. The food was delicious (we had an appetizer, the butter chicken, and shrimp moica (sp?) The atmosphere is super comfortable and laid back -- a nice escape from the busy Trafalgar Square area. Great option for combining with a visit to the National Galleries, pre-theatre or pre-musical program at St Martin-in-the-Fields.

Overall it was nice however the pre theatre meal is not good value. No side dishes or accompaniments or poppadoms. Be careful with the water. Order from the tap Food was nice/good and service on point...just overall two courses plus service charge was a bit dear. Would say order of the menu. Service charge was 12.5%

Great food and service but a huge unwelcome addition to our bill for drinks we did not order. The drinks were 30% of the bill and apart from a brief apology nothing much. I can understand if this error was made in a busy restaurant but it was not too busy. Also how it is fixed is important as well when an error this significant was made. Food was excellent and service was too just for the above.

The food tasted average for the price they are charging, a limited choice on the menu It is very expensive I would say my local Indian takeaway tastes better and is 1/4 of the price I know your paying more because it's in Central London. The Service was great and the decor ambience was amazing.

A beautiful, interesting restaurant with an interesting story told through the many photographs of the owner’s parents and family on the walls. everywhere is adorned with the parents’ paintings and gorgeous chandeliers and textiles collected on their travels through India. We weren’t quite so impressed by the food but that’s because we cook a lot ourselves. Better than Dishoom though! Our neighbour on the next table who was Indian thought the food was better than authentic dishes he’d been served in India! Our waiter Ronnie was lovely and so attentive. Portions were generous and beautifully presented but don’t think we had the most interesting things off the menu as we had a voucher for pre-theatre menu so choice was limited.
