The name “Colombo” is the Italian form of “Colomba” the latin word for “dove”, which is the “Bird of Peace”. It is in the spirit of peace that friends and family gather to celebrate the every day occurrences that touch our lives. Great food, drink and conversations are the cornerstones for the sharing of these convivial, day-to-day passions at our Italian restaurant.

Colombo’s Cafe & Pastries stands for the beloved concept born in Italy of the “gathering place”… truly a place that “welcomes everyone, every day… at any time” translating as “Benvenuti a tutti” in Italian, whereby the tried and true, centuries-old tradition of “all are welcome” prevails.

We had a delicious meal, chicken, Parm, beef bolognese , and Breaded salmon. Jacqueline was our waitress. Very attentive. Cannoli and carrot cake for dessert. Bolognese was a little spicy but good

A terrific place in Hyannis for Italian cuisine! Casual friendly quick service and great food! . Reasonably priced as well

Colombo’s never disappoints!! Kim provided excellent service and did not rush us at any time during the evening. Shrimp Diavolo with the Squid Ink linguine was excellent. Sorry to see the Filet off the menu, but maybe the Turkey Bolognese is coming back!!

We made a reservation to celebrate a 50th birthday. No mention of it while there. Hostess seated us at a high top table at entrance, offered us water then went back to her videos on her cell phone. Food was good, went elsewhere for dessert. We sort of felt like we were a bother to the staff, who were all really young.

We went straight into entrées and the food took a long time to arrive. Apparently large groups were the problem ( but this is probably a place that takes such groups much of the time). Our waitress apologised and did a good job chasing our order. The linguine and clams were OK. The lasagne was very meaty but really dry on account of the two layers of very dry cheese. The masses of tomato sauce did not make up for the dryness of the lasagne.

We were a part of 3 all over 70. That may be why we found the restaurant too dark and had to use flashlights to read the menu. The food was good but not exceptional but our waitress, Diana, provided exceptional services which we very much appreciated.

Pizzas were good. Entree brought before appetizer. Scallops wrapped in bacon were very good. Tuna special was brought back cold, even rice was cold. Server (Yanni) was not attentive and didn’t really care. Told me seared tuna was suppose to be cold. Did bring another tuna special and tuna was very good.
