This restaurant housed in a former bank building in the heart of downtown Tipp City offers quality dining in a small-town setting. The decor is warm and welcoming and is a delight for the senses. The fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere while the full bar allows patrons a relaxing stop while awaiting a fabulous meal. The inviting atmosphere encourages relaxed conversation. You may be surprised to find that a restaurant in such a small town has some rather sophisticated choices on the menu alongside your more normal fare, with entrees such as ostrich being offered. If you are looking for a decadent dessert, look no further than the butter-drenched English Tea Cake! An easy drive from all points in the Dayton area, words cannot do it justice. A visit is a must and will be the first of many.

Coldwater is amazing. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is a favorite. I am a frequent customer so I really appreciate the seasonal change of menu. The current scallop preparation is so delicious!

Outstanding from start to finish!! From the lobster crab cakes... to the beet carpaccio.. to the duck entree.. to the pumpkin spice cheesecake.. to the English tea cake!! FANTASTIC!!

They were able to give us our table request when I made the reservation. We had the roasted beet carpaccio to start with. It was delicious. We then had the house salad. Their cucumber dill dressing is so good. As our main dish we had the beef filet. It was cooked a perfect medium rare and delicious. We enjoyed the wine from “Wine Down Wednesday” and finished with crème brûlée. Our server was very accommodating and we had a great evening.

We had lunch in the Vault which is quieter than the main part of the restaurant. The new menu is great and we had a very enjoyable time. Coldwater always has wonderful homemade food!

Perfect lunch with all the ladies from our yoga class. We had a group of 10 and sat in the alley. Appetizers were shared and everyone loved the appetizers and their lunch. Several people tried the soup of the day and raved about it. The brussel sprouts were OUT OF THIS WORLD! Our server Christine was very attentive and kind. Everything was outstanding. Our only regret was not having room for dessert.

We had something significant we wanted to celebrate and couldn't have picked a more perfect setting for it. I couldn't find one thing wrong. This was a Thursday evening, and they were booked and sold, so reservations are highly suggested. It is very elegant and has a lot of history. The food was amazing, as always, and the service was impeccable. Most everyone was very nicely dressed, and there were no shirts, T-shirts, or baseball caps; you get the idea. Lunch is just as amazing but casual with the same restrictions. I look forward to our next visit.
