* The Brewhouse - Our main restaurant and drinks area is a cool wooden interior with references to beer throughout. It's all about atmosphere! Dog-friendly.

* Pizza & Prosecco Floor - A gorgeous interior on our first floor. Our microbrewery and pizza oven are on this floor, so you can watch our team in action as they cook and brew for you.

* Rooftop Terrace - Cocktails, beers and an exclusive food menu served under a glorious view of Edinburgh Castle. Our iconic rooftop is perfect for any outdoor occasion

Last bookings for food are at 8.45pm, later bookings will only be for drinks. Please note that our Terrace closes at 10pm daily.

Following last year’s hugely successful Brunch with Santa, we’re delighted to bring them back for another year. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting families from near and far and can’t wait to welcome back the big man himself for another month of fun! We have a range of dates to choose from but do be careful as they sell out quickly. On the day you’ll enjoy a hearty brunch for adults (hot drink included) and we more than look after the wee ones with food & drink and of course a visit and gift from Santa.

There’s nowhere better to feel a part of our city’s world-renowned Hogmanay celebrations than on the Rooftop of Cold Town House. Located in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town and at the foot of Castle Rock our Rooftop is in prime position to take in the sights and sounds of the festivities. From the warmth and comfort of your own outdoor table, you’ll enjoy your welcome dram or Prosecco, delicious sharing platters of food and of course, when the bells ring and the Castle fireworks start above your heads we all celebrate with another round of drinks to toast the new year. Tickets are already selling fast so don’t miss out. Last Entry 8:30pm

I was very disappointed with my experience of cold town house. I had high expectations but unfortunately they didn’t live up. We reserved seats on the outdoor terrace, on arrival we were greeted at the door and advised to head up where we were met by someone else who pointed out the table. There was a bottle of water and 2 glasses on the table which was a nice touch but the water was warm. We had to seek someone out to order a drink. We ordered two slushy daiquiri which came in tiny glasses. The drinks were fine but nothing special. Defo not worth the £21. We weren’t asked if we wanted to order more drinks so after sitting a while watching the 3 staff members chatting we asked to pay so we could leave. The place was a mess, lots of empty glasses and used plates lying around. As it was a warm day the strong smell of the bins were overwhelming. Unfortunately we wouldn’t go back.

The atmosphere is great and the view of the castle is lovely. We enjoyed the food, it is basic but good and the service was lovely.

Really great staff, super helpful and great attitude. Checked on quite a lot. Slight delay on drinks but didn’t bother us. Really enjoyed our evening and will definitely be coming back. Service won us over. Food was great also.

The food was great. Did not expect the open calzone to be SO good. Well done on the drinks collection. The staff were polite and lovely. Highly recommend.

Great place to drink with friends, and 3 floors means you can change place without having to leave building for food and a change of scenery.

Great spot for chilled drinks. Nice selection of 0% options as well. Pizza and Frickles were really tastie

Second time coming here & wow something had definitely changed from the 1st. Staff were breaking plates and glasses for a period of 40 mins. We had to always ask for someone to serve us. Then ask again to pay.. service is very much down hill! Very disappointed

Excellent from start to finish. Food was great & service perfect at every stage. Overall good value. Staff recommended roof terrace for next time.
