Popped in at lunch time for a catch up with a friend. Food was lovely and we wernt hastled to leave once we’d finished eating. Very clean and smart . We will visit again

Lovely afternoon tea. The food was great and felt it was hood value for money. Small down side not many staff.

Short staffed and the food wasn’t cooked correctly, they were not busy so there was no reason to get 2 out of 3 steaks wrong. Nobody came back to ask how our food was, so we were unable to ask for it to be changed. Waived the service charge and gave us 2 free drinks to say sorry, which was a nice gesture but I’d rather of enjoyed my food than get free drinks.

Fantastic food and friendly service! We ate at Cogs as part of a Ghost Walk experience, and every part of the evening was brilliant. Definitely give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed!

We has an amazing starter of belly pork bites, perfectly cooked so very crispy and chipolatas sausages, moist and tasty. Both chose the roast menu, beef and chicken supreme, with all the timings and an extra of cauliflower cheese, all good but a bit disappointed with the 'garlic and rosemary roast potatoes' tasted exactly like plain roast potatoes. Really impressed with the homemade gravy, full of flavour including meat juices, I usually leave gravy as it can often be so horrible if poured on a meal it spoils it, but nearly asked for extra as it was so delicious. Yes we did leave a bit on our plate but only because we needed to leave room for desert. We both opted for the Eaton mess sundae, which was delicious and light enough that we both managed to finish it.

Very pleasant Sunday lunch and an unhurried experience. Interesting starters, very generous roasts with all the trimmings and a tasty cheesecake to finish.

What a wonderful find. The restaurant itself is immaculate. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Drink prices are very reasonable and the food was just wonderful. Everything was high quality and cooked to perfection, I haven't enjoyed a meal out like this for a very long time, I am sure they will keep this service up and I will definitely be back.
