D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Fine-dining vet Jordan Smith has plenty of fun with the menu at his French-ish Ferndale spot that the Detroit Free Press named 2024's best new restaurant. The sleek wooden interiors make it feel very upscale, but Coeur is totally unpretentious and laidback. Expect a seasonal menu of dishes like a branzino curry with trumpet mushroom and next-level desserts from pastry chef Carla Spicuzzi like a swanky take on a Choco Taco. Chef's Tasting Menu

Embark on an 5-course culinary journey with us at $89/person. Enjoy four savory courses designed by our head chef with a fifth course showcasing dessert. We do require everyone in your party to participate in the tasting menu for synchronization of service and our kitchen coursing out the experience. Optional pairings are available: $30/person for non-alcoholic pairings & $45/person for wine pairings. You may select those options here to help our team prepare for your reservation or decide once you arrive. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was superb as was the service and we had a wonderful dinner at Couer!

Had the tasting menu and every course was wonderful. Had the wine pairing with it. Each wine really complimented the food. Service was great and the knowledge of the food and the wine served was impressive. Definitely will be back.

Great food. I first I thought the menu was kind of limited, but in reality they have something for everyone. Food was first rate, and love how they changed the restaurant .

It was our first time dining at Coeur and we couldn't have enjoyed a better experience. The food was excellent, but the service equally matched. Can't wait to return and enjoy more dishes.

I love that there was a coat check. Restaurant is cramped like they added a bunch of tables because they weren’t getting enough turns. Bathrooms were nice. Food was fine but not worth the price. Service was good. Everyone really worked together.

The food and service were outstanding. The ambiance is ok, seems like it doesn’t quite fit the the style of food. It’s seems a little cold. We had the tasting menu, with the wine pairing and it was really fantastic.

Everything was delightful! All of the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The food was delicious and worth the price. The bottle of wine recommended by the sommelier was wonderful. The ambience was great and the place is very cute and it wasn't very loud. Will definitely be back!

Great night at Coeur. We had the tasting menu- delicious food paired with a variety of mostly French wine. Honeynut squash crème brûlée was to die for.
