We had mixed feelings on this restaurant. The mains (risotto and vegetable pot au feu) were great but the appetizers, in our opinion, were not good at all. The oysters were tiny and sad looking, and a couple had shell pieces in the meat. The beef tartare, which is usually my favourite dish at other restaurants, was covered so thick in a white sauce that it hid the meat’s color and made it so you couldn’t taste the meat. It was also weirdly chewy. It was so chewy we weren’t sure whether the beef was actually beef. But the mains on the other hand had flavour, great texture, and were filling. So overall an okay experience, glad to have tried it, but won’t be going back.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in the making. Let me begin by raving about the Steak Frites we ordered, specifically the fillet mignon option - it was hands down one of the most exquisite steaks I've had the pleasure of enjoying in a restaurant in a very long time. We kicked off our dining experience with expertly curated cocktails, followed by a delightful pairing of the steak with a heavenly premiere cru Pinot Noir. Our meal concluded with a delectable raspberry lemon torte and port, a perfect ending to a perfect meal. The level of service we received from our waiter Christo was nothing short of perfection - we couldn't have asked for better attention. We were graciously allowed to savour our meal at our own pace without feeling rushed, thanks to the seamless service and discreet professionalism from the Christo and all staff, almost like watching a well-choreographed play unfold before us. In simple terms, it was spot on. However, there is a significant drawback - the atmosphere is sorely lacking. The restaurant is situated in a hotel lobby, and unfortunately, it doesn't work in its favor. The decor screams a popular Swedish build your own furniture store, from the overly bright lighting to the arborite white round tables paired with, fake candles and black & white floors, plastic dome lighting design along with common knick-knacks. The music selection, featuring Michael Jackson, Lady Marmalade, and 90's R&B tunes, doesn't quite compliment the ambiance one would expect from a French Bistro or any upscale dining setting for that matter. Despite the outstanding food (a solid 10/10), it's a shame that it's served on small 7-inch plates with a lip. One can only imagine the chef shedding tears over sending out top-notch dishes on what feels like children-sized plates that don’t do the food justice. This is the third time we've eaten here and our experience was again a positive one -- well prepared food, excellent service and beautiful surroundings. Like in so many restaurants, ambient noise is a problem. You should abandon the table next to the door to the terrace; there is room to the north of it. We were led to that table at first but the wind every time the door opens is excessive.

Vítor was an excellent server who made great suggestions, was prompt, and very nice. We had an amazing meal, and the atmosphere is unique. We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary there :)

Unfortunately our experience was not good. We had french onion soup, which was mediocre, and the bread in the soup was so hard we had to take it out of the soup and cut it so we could eat it. We ordered mussels and one bite told us they were so strong and fishy tasting that we returned them , as we would not eat them. Our waitress was very professional throughout this uncomfortable situation. Hate to complain in these hard times for restaurants, but this was just unacceptable.

Amazing interior design that fits with silverware and plates. Quiet and distinguished beauty of the place combined with perfect-sized portions (no mountains of French fries that are wasted) make you want to come back again.

We celebrated our daughter's graduation. The decor is beautiful and the ambiance in the upper library area was perfect-no noise, large table, comfortable and well lit. The seniors in our group appreciated the space. The service by Janan was impeccable. The pasta primavera was mouth-watering with a sauce I would return for again and again (and lick the plate if no one was watching). Our group had steak that was 'the best I've ever had' and chicken with mash potatoes that was also lickable. The burger was delish. A perfect evening!
