   Fabulous little spot. Don’t even realize you’re in Ottawa. Boutique bistro vibe. Amazing food. Not cheap but worth it for the quality!!

   The food was amazing versus other restaurants that ive been to in toronto, and montreal, particularly the pasta. The only thing is the French soup is too "herbal" which lost the original onion taste and the duck config was too dry.

   All dishes are great, desserts and add on condiments came quite slow though.... otherwise everything else is great. Makes a decent place for finer family dine out.

   Un peu cher pour l ensemble, parce que c’est un restaurant français , mais cela reste un des meilleurs restaurant que j ai fait à Ottawa en 2 ans

   Cocotte was incredible. Our hostesses and waiter were professional and polite. Our waiter knew the menu, was friendly and professional. The food was outstanding from the fois gras to the salmon and the surprise dessert for our special occasion. An overall 10/10. Please visit and keep it open!

   An excellent lunch experience. very popular on a thursday so a lot of ambient noise - good service- great food

    They didn’t provide the table we reserved and confirmed with a phone call which was one of their booth banquet tables in the main dining area. Instead we got a bank seat in the back room which was loud and less attractive in decor. Oysters were mushy. Accoutrements lacked flavour. Came with seafood sauce, 2 lemon wedges and horseradish radish that had no flavour. Bread was cold. Butter was cold and hard. Appetizers 1: beef tartare had corn as a filler. 2. Duck & foie gras rillettes was tough and chewy. Mains: 1. saint Jacques- scallops were fishy and only got 4 scallops, all drowned in a cream sauce. 2. Cassoulet - flavourless. The confit duck leg also was softly cooked - no crisp to the skin. They were out of stock on 3 of the wines we wanted from the menu. Service was kind and warm however very slow. Often we sat with empty glasses and dirty plates. For the price and location we expected better food, service and overall experience. Much better restaurants in Ottawa to choose from at the same price point with excellent value. We won’t return here or recommend Cocotte.
