   Hidden gem right outside of Ottawa. Food and service were top tier. The menu had some unique dishes that were all very good. Stoked to come back next time I’m in town. Highly recommend!

   We chose the 7 courses degustation menu, but with no wine pairing. Excellent! an adventure in flavors, not to be missed in Ottawa. The lesser points however were: a) the lack of available parking, although we still found a solution thanks to the tolerance of the service team, b) the atmosphere of the place, partly because of the ultra modern decor and physical architecture, which tends to be more impersonal (But this is our personal choice). The service was quite good, and staff were attentive. Not to detract to the actual positive experience, we would have appreciated more explanations about what makes the Kerala/southern India flavors so unique, and the culinary roots and the cultural context (as it was a culinary experience); this could have complemented the experience further. Overall the experience is well worth it, and we would repeat it because of the quality of the food, and the particularly well balanced flavors. They have a varied menu, aside of the degustation one, and we will focus on this in our future visits. Can't wait!

   Every time I go to Coconut Lagoon it is my best restaurant experience ever. The food, ambience, and service are always incredible. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more highly. I just wished I lived closer so I could go more often.

   The ambience was intimate, and the spices in the food were good. Service was good. The washroom experience was a bit unusual, people seemed to have a hard time understanding when the bathrooms are occupied and how to lock the doors. Anyways, we ordered the scallops and beet salad as appetizers which tasted delicious. Then the butter lobster masala and the short ribs as the mains. The butter lobster was the shining dish between the two. It was a perfect blend of seasonings. The short ribs on the hand, while the sauce was flavourful, we were really put off by the toughness of the meat. The dish the short ribs came in also was not deep enough so as we were attempting to cut the short ribs to share, the concern was spilling the sauce. And it was tough to cut AND bite into. Would not recommend this dish, but everything else was good.

   An amazing culinary experience ! Fireworks for the taste buds in every proposed dish. Easily adapted to various diet preferences (carnivore, pescatarian, vegetarian…) Such a talented chef, great service and overall memorable experience. Highly recommend for a special evening or simply to celebrate life ! ❤️

   When you dine at Coconut Lagoon you will experience an interesting array of dishes that will stand out for your dining experience. The wine pairing was excellent which accompanied our pre-set Valentines Day dinner. Every course was excellent!

   The food was delicious as always. Very much appreciate the many vegan options in appetizers, main course and even for dessert. The service is professional and helpful. Always a pleasure going back. :-)

   A wonderful experience at Coconut Lagoon. Food is exceptional, flavourful selection of dishes. The lamb chops as a starter stand out, as does the lamb biryani.

    It was a nice experience. We took the chef samplers with wine pairing. Everything was really good except for the chicken dish as the chicken was very dry.
