Bienvenidos a Cocina de Barrio, the newest modern-urban Mexican restaurant located in Hillcrest, San Diego! We are proud to feature the culinary richness of Oaxaca as well as other Mexican regions. Stop by and enjoy our bar stocked with plenty tequila and mezcal selections, MUCHA cerveza, and wines sourced from Valle Guadalupe.

Appetizer, and both entrees were plentiful, hot and delicious. Presentations were awesome . Server was helpful with translations.

The entire staff was very polite and knowledgeable of the menu. The drinks are also delicious, and the appetizers are packed full of flavor!

Delicious food and nice ambient. Only downside is cocktails barely have some alcohol in it. But food was very good. Definitely go again to try other dishes.

Amazing experience! Our server was very patient with us because we couldn’t decide what to pick out of the delicious sounding plates. Then our drinks came and they were so good! And the food oh my god so freaking delicious! So pretty much highly recommend!

The place is bright and airy. Food was delicious and service was attentive without being overbearing. I didn’t pay it even see the bill so can’t comment on the value but i highly recommend this place! We all got something different (5 adults) and shared. Food presentation was beautiful and taste was yummy.
