    Made a reservation. Not a very welcoming staff. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a great experience. Food was good, but overall this wasn’t the vibe we anticipated. The manager wasn’t receptive to feedback or request. We managed to make the best out of this visit.

    This has usually been a go-to solid. Last night not so much. Waiter entered my dozen oysters (appetizer) to arrive with my entree. Why?? His personality was not exactly vibing with ours. Beignets for desserts were overcooked, flat and crunchy. Sent them back. Sat on patio where they had a very talented duo singing … but so loudly we could barely carry a conversation at our table.

    We have visited Coalition several times in the past and generally have had really positive experiences - esp during brunch. Not sure what happened but this time was not positive at all. We ordered Calamari (pretty good), Egg rolls (not enough filling and the sauce was bitter), two cocktails (both great), Meatloaf entree (my meatloaf had clearly been prepared and sat as the edges were super dry - I ended up eating really just the interior and mixed it with mashed potatoes to mask the dryness), Mac and cheese (lacked salt), and a Salmon BLT (bread was barely toasted, salmon not blackened - just barely any seasoning). We ended up leaving our leftovers there. May try the restaurant again as out experiences are usually really good but this experience was incredibly disappointing. We went around 3p on a Saturday as an FYI.

    Shelia and Juan took great care of us. The food was fantastic as was the service. The manager came around and asked and made sure all was great. We look forward to our next visit.

    Great service. Great coconut spicy margaritas! I like the seafood options. My food was room temp, could have certainly been hotter. got the lobster, potatoes, eggs. Eggs were cold and potatoes were a bit hard. But the flavor was ok. The waffle was spongy and not airy like I like it. It would also be better if real maple syrup was used with the dishes
