Le Clipstone étant un petit restaurant, les tables doivent être libérées au bout d'une heure et demie, ce qui vous laissera tout le temps nécessaire pour découvrir les plats de la maison. Pour bénéficier d'un peu plus de temps ou pour une occasion spéciale, n'hésitez pas à vous rendre au restaurant Portland (http://www.portlandrestaurant.co.uk), au coin de la rue. Le Clipstone est un nouveau restaurant de quartier situé à l'angle de Clipstone Street, dans le quartier de Fitzrovia. Cet établissement met tout en œuvre pour offrir une cuisine, du vin et un service de grande qualité, à l'image de ce que fait le restaurant Portland, mais dans un cadre plus informel. Vous commencerez votre repas par des crudités et de la charcuterie maison accompagnés de plats centrés sur les légumes. La seconde partie du menu met à l'honneur les plats principaux et les galettes fraîchement issues du four à pizza (relique de l'ancien restaurant italien qui occupait précédemment les lieux).

My 4th time at Clipestone and never disappoints. Food is delicious and the staff are very warm and friendly. It is a very relaxed environment and always a very enjoyable experience.

Second time diner and went for lunch with friends. The restaurant was busy and there was plenty of noise, so having a conversation wasn't easy, but I'd rather that than the reverse. The waiting staff were excellent and kept us well supplied despite being full for lunch. We all had a delicious smoked trout starter, which was recommended by the waitress. Also, the bergamot posset dessert was excellent. Very good wine list too. It was a very nice lunch and we'll be back.

Came here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary which happens to coincide with valentine’s day, so obviously a very busy service. The service overall was good, nice and friendly waiters very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The food itself was very good, me and my partner both thoroughly enjoyed it. The only thing that took away from the quality of the evening was that they were expecting a table of 9 people in after us, and were very clearly trying to rush us off the table, which wasn’t ideal. We were about to finish our dessert with some wine and coffee and one of the waitresses, not the one who had been serving us for the majority for the evening, came over to take the plate and then returned immediately with the card machine, didn’t even ask how the food was, I paid immediately as requested and as I turned around another lady was waiting with my coat and as soon as we stood up they began shifting our table around before my partner had even taken her belongings off the table. It was a shame because for the majority of the evening we enjoyed the venue and the food and service as mentioned earlier, but I felt it was let down by this and is a shame, took away from the ambience of our anniversary dinner and left it on a bit of a low.

Had a fantastic valentines evening dinner here at Clipstone. Was so hard to choose from the menu as it all looked gorgeous. Extremely helpful and attentive staff, food was all delicious, wine excellent. Would highly recommend

Excellent as always. Great food all round, loved the pineapple mescaline negroni and really interesting wine list, service is brilliant and the place hits that buzzy neighbourhood vibe perfectly! We’ve been coming here for years and it’s consistently excellent - definitely recommended!

I am a regular visitor--I had an absolutely first class lunch today with great food, excellent staff in a 100% full restaurant. I went with my first boss-aged 93--he loved it!!

Clipstone is a fantastic spot for a special occasion, especially as a couple. We celebrated a birthday there, and the team went above and beyond to add a thoughtful personal touch, making the evening feel extra special. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, with staff who clearly care about the details. As for the food, every dish was beautifully presented and tasted just as amazing as it looked. The balance of flavors and quality of ingredients truly stood out. Whether you’re after a romantic night out or a memorable celebration, Clipstone delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended.
