A relaxed wine-led rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Manchester City Centre, a daily changing menu, and a cellar with more than 400 different wines to choose from.

Climat is the second site from the team behind Covino, who set up shop in Chester's historic city centre back in 2016. The team has since forged a reputation both regionally & nationally as a fiercely passionate wine-led restaurant with exciting daily changing menus.

Head Chef Luke Richardson best describes his style of cooking as 'Parisian ex-pat food' - a nod to his time spent cooking in the cosmopolitan kitchens of Paris.

As the name 'Climat' might suggest, our cellar of more than 400 different wines has a slight lean toward our favourite region of all - Burgundy. Outside of Burgundy you’ll find a healthy selection of other favourites from around the world, with wines from small producers, to the more iconic, and all the top vignerons that sit between.

Great and helpful staff. Starters were excellent.. but mains were just okay. The beer from local brewery was great and the wine was good. I would recommend sticking with a variety of starters.

It’s never going to compete with the great rooftop restaurants of the world, because it’s only eight floors up and, well it’s Manchester, so it’s not a killer view. But it is a nice place to be on a gloomy day because it’s light and bright and the menu offers interesting selections. My dishes were well executed and the waiter provided knowledgeable wine options to accompany my dishes. As a solo diner I’m always interested in places where I feel comfortable. It lived up to my expectations.

Incredible food with great views of Manchester. The inviting open kitchen enables guests to see the craftsmanship happening right before them. Well crafted and balanced dishes. Front of house staff incredible knowledgeable and very helpful. Highly recommended.

First time at Climat and won't be the last. All the food was excellent - in particular the the Hash Browns, Gougeres, Poussin and Tempura Asparagus hit the spot - not to forget the sublime Black Forest Eclair. Service from Dylan was excellent - very helpful, accommodating and done with a great sense of humour - he is a star !

The experience was rather mediocre. We had a booking for 8.45pm, but during our meal, the staff began taking out the rubbish, bin after bin. It was barely 10pm. To make matters worse, a strong, unpleasant smell of something burning wafted through the area. I assume they were cleaning the grills, but it significantly detracted from the supposedly pleasant rooftop atmosphere. This pretty much ruined any appetite for dessert.
