A relaxed wine-led rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Manchester City Centre, a daily changing menu, and a cellar with more than 400 different wines to choose from.

Climat is the second site from the team behind Covino, who set up shop in Chester's historic city centre back in 2016. The team has since forged a reputation both regionally & nationally as a fiercely passionate wine-led restaurant with exciting daily changing menus.

Head Chef Luke Richardson best describes his style of cooking as 'Parisian ex-pat food' - a nod to his time spent cooking in the cosmopolitan kitchens of Paris.

As the name 'Climat' might suggest, our cellar of more than 400 different wines has a slight lean toward our favourite region of all - Burgundy. Outside of Burgundy you’ll find a healthy selection of other favourites from around the world, with wines from small producers, to the more iconic, and all the top vignerons that sit between.

From the first greeting to the food to the atmosphere and staff I literally couldn’t fault anything. It was absolutely superb and we will be back and next time bring friends to enjoy it too!

Great sleection of dishes with superb sauces!/. Well spread out to not feel too full! knowledgeable staff. Overall, great would return!

Wine & Snacks great, larger dishes were just OK. Service could have been more prompt. Rooftop is lovely on a sunny day.

We really enjoyed the whole experience. Staff were lovely, food tasted amazing and I loved the rose wine. Quite a fishy menu though, I maybe would have liked more red meat. Not too pricey either though. Loved the venue and views.

Really cool venue and setting, the food was really good but not sure all of the dishes were worth the price tags they had - some were but some weren’t. Unfortunately the service was what let it down for us, we were offered water when we arrived but it took about 15 minutes to arrive then we kept getting told we will come back to take your order. We got our first drink about 45 minutes in and were ready to order but then had the menu ‘explained to us’ and the waiter left again to come back to take our order but then again didn’t come back for another 10 minutes. The dishes were then really slow to come out, we’d ordered bread as well and it took forever i think we had been there about an hour 15 before it even arrived and then it was slow between the dishes. Disappointed because we’d heard such great things!

Outstanding, lovely food. Was actually the best meal out i have had in ages. Lovely view where we sat and staff were lovely and helpful. I don't have one bad thing to say.
