A relaxed wine-led rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Manchester City Centre, a daily changing menu, and a cellar with more than 400 different wines to choose from.

Climat is the second site from the team behind Covino, who set up shop in Chester's historic city centre back in 2016. The team has since forged a reputation both regionally & nationally as a fiercely passionate wine-led restaurant with exciting daily changing menus.

Head Chef Luke Richardson best describes his style of cooking as 'Parisian ex-pat food' - a nod to his time spent cooking in the cosmopolitan kitchens of Paris.

As the name 'Climat' might suggest, our cellar of more than 400 different wines has a slight lean toward our favourite region of all - Burgundy. Outside of Burgundy you’ll find a healthy selection of other favourites from around the world, with wines from small producers, to the more iconic, and all the top vignerons that sit between.

Came in initially for drinks to enjoy the wonderful view on a beautiful sunny autumn day, and decided to stay for dinner as a special treat. Excellent creative range of vegetarian options, perfect as small plates. We enjoyed everything we ordered - cooked and seasoned well. Extensive and unusual wine list, and we got to try a unique white wine from Italy which paired well with our food. Service was efficient, friendly, unobtrusive and refreshingly unpretentious. It’s on the pricier side but you’re paying for the ambience (the view got even better as evening came) as much as for the food and wine, and it’s what you’d expect to pay for dining of this standard. Loved it and will come back again (must try dessert and their own honey).

Food was delicious and a the bottles of wine recommended to us were excellent. Views on a sunny Manchester day topped it off!

Food was amazing ! Service great ! The views were great! Really enjoyed ourselves! The only downside was that the restaurant itself was a little cold in temperature although we were the last table in the row. Overall we would definitely go again xx

Tonight was our first time in Climat celebrating my Wife’s birthday and the experience we had today was absolutely incredible more than we expected. Great value food/price, amazing service. We were confused in some drink and the staff very kindly helped us to find out the exactly drink we were looking for. The Chefs also very professional on making the very delicious food and well organised. The first impression I had was the smells of the food incredibly made me starving. Thank you all Climat staff.

I loved this restaurant. Food was delicious and the knowledge about the wine we asked about was brilliant. Considering they knew we were coming for my birthday I was a bit disappointed that nothing had be done as a little surprise - even just a free drink on an arrival! But nonetheless I still throughly enjoyed it.

the cold dishes were really good but the larger hot dishes left more to be desired overcooked partridge is perhaps something you don't serve without a good sauce and then fried jus is not enough

We had a very nice evening. All the people who served were friendly and that created a good atmosphere. They were knowledgeable about the food and made helpful suggestions. The food was perfectly cooked. Overall it was a very good experience. I would definitely go back .
