    Loved the scenery. I would like to go back on another occasion. Might book a couple of nights in Highcliffe next year.

    Excellent restaurant. The staff were so accommodating of our large group. The food was delicious. Incredible view. Highly recommended

    Booking procedure and reminder system were good. Table in a great position. Menu varied. Prices higher than expected. Taste good. Well done for having alternative milks. Waiting staff friendly but seemed stressed at the time we were there We would have tipped but service charge already added.

    Unfortunately not the service level we expected. The waitress (who was very smiley and friendly) got two of the four food orders wrong. This meant that two people received and finished their meals before the two replacement meals arrived. We also requested a child's sized version of sausage with bubble and squeak because nine year old Jess didn't fancy any of the rather limited four main options on the kids menu. Apparently this was too much trouble and not possible. I fail to see how removing two of the three sausages on the adult plate and placing a smaller dollop of bobble and squeak would have been a problem but apparently it was. We travelled 90 minutes to enjoy a meal with friends at the Cliffhanger and it was a huge disappointment. The manager recognised the errors and did not charge us for the two incorrect meal orders but the day was about sharing a lovely experience with friends and this was sadly spoilt by the poor service. Despite the amazing views, we will not be returning any time soon. The restaurant looked only to be at about 50% capacity on the day of our visit so I dread to think how the team might cope f all the tables had been booked.

    Expensive for what it is but can’t fault the quality of the food. Our waitress was a ray of sunshine and an asset to the team. Excellent service and a lovely lunch, just a little on the pricey side. Would still return again though.

    We had table service and the majority of the staff were extremely helpful with the exception of one, food was OK, ambience and views were excellent
