One of the best breakfast spots in the city. Not the most inexpensive, but the service is top notch as you'd expect at the Penninsula and the food is delicious.

The last time we had brunch in the Peninsula, it was before Covid - with Norma's, as I recall. But now... wow. Having Sunday brunch in such a magnificently transformed, elegant space was beyond delightful. Our dishes were flawless... his classic Benedict was reportedly perfect, and the avocado toast with poached eggs was so perky with pickled jalapeno and slivers of radishes! A generous Mimosa and my husband's delicious Bloody Mary were a perfect start to a lazy, beautiful Sunday afternoon. If you want a truly elegant, relaxed, memorable place to savor a gloriously beautiful weekend, you must experience brunch at the Clement. (Those stunning windows would also probably make a rainy or even snow day equally special!) What a great find! We'll be back the next time we're in the City.

I love the ambience at this restaurant. It is so civilized. Food is fantastic, service is great, they don't rush you and it's quiet enough to enjoy pleasant conversation.

I had Eggs Benedict. The bottom half of the English muffin was as thin as a crepe. The food was not hot and the breakfast potatoes tasted and looked like they had been sitting in an open buffet line for too long - neither my husband nor I ate them. The fruit plate was good, but the coffee refills were few and far between. My husband order the standard eggs, bacon and toast. Considering this was the Peninsula and a $200.00 breakfast we expected better food and service.

I took my Great Auntie Mother’s Day Sunday Brunch. The appetizer buffet food was excellent, but for some odd reason, it was extremely dimly lit. Other patrons commented on how dark it was and that it was hard to see what was laid out. We ordered the Crab cake entree which was very dry inside. It was inedible. Neither of us finished it. The dessert buffet looked beautiful, but the dessert themselves lacked any flavor. They added an automatic gratuity of 18 percent. The service was not good. No one came to take our drink order. I normally order bottles of sparkling water, but they served us tap water without asking us for our preference. I would have ordered a cocktail, but no one came to ask if we wanted any drinks. I had to flag down a server to get an orange juice for my Auntie. They were very slow to clear dirty buffet plates. The Mothers Day Flowers was a lovely treat for Mothers Day. We attended the Christmas Day Brunch and everything was so much better.

We are regulars, and have been going to Clement on special occasions for years. The overall experience was ok, but the choice of food especially on the buffet area was very minimal. Very few choices and for the amount of money charged, very far from worth it. Also the service was not to the standard that we have received in the past. Continuously asking the waiters to fill up our empty glasses of water, and us personally removing our empty plates after returning from the buffet table with refills etc... not what we're used to at this level of dining. The quality of food was good, but very little to choose from. Very disappointed.

Highly recommend this place. The host and servers are amazing and the food is top notch, compensating the dated (but nice) decor. Plus the view of the Fifth is great. Peninsula is under going a major update. Can’t wait to see the completed version.
