Claywood is a popular wine and whiskey bar in downtown Hendersonville, where owner Carly Buntin has created a large welcoming space that encourages people to engage with one another—as in, talk and laugh and share, and not stare at a phone. Whether that involves a couple, a family, a group of friends or even complete strangers who are open to chance encounters, Claywood invites connection.

Claywood’s food menu features a variety of artisan charcuterie boards, which include hearty selections of meats and cheeses.

The whiskey menu is similarly impressive and the wine menu includes a brilliant offering of old world wines.
If you’re free for Sunday brunch, check out Claywood’s exotic meat carving station, which could include elk, antelope, wild boar, venison or pheasant, which pair well with its mimosa and “mary” beverage boards.

And if that doesn’t give you something to talk about, we don’t know what will!

We sat at the bar and were checking it out. The drinks were very good. We shared the Brussels and they were outstanding The bartender was really hustling but still took the time to chat with us and answer our questions. Will certainly be returning for a longer time and more food.

We went on a Sunday. Ends up, food delivery is Monday. Food was over cooked and old. We will try it again, as the owner came over to us and sat with us for a while, and explained how things are changing. We have also heard how wonderful the food was, so we will go again. Atmosphere was great, wine was great, and the charcuterie board was great.

We had a fantastic time celebrating my birthday for brunch on Sunday. The brunch board had a lot of unique choices and everything was delicious. We also ordered the mimosa flight board. The fruits were perfectly ripe and the mimosa flight itself had a few surprising flavors. We were there early so the ambience was quiet and the decor just made everything very inviting. Our waiter was very attentive.

Some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had! Excellent food with great vibes and friendly staff. Really good for lounging with some drinks and light eats as well as having a full on dinner. Highly recommend!

One description: AMAZING Hendersonville needed this establishment as it provided us with an atmosphere of Asheville dining …the menu combined with upscale but welcoming ambiance is amazing.

Absolutely fabulous exquisite palate! Overlook the town construction happening on 7th Avenue and MAKE YOUR WAY to this outstanding experience! I took my husband here for Fathers Day! Our waitress was “Gen Eric” aka Taylor! She was absolutely outstanding. The food is FRESH, full of flavor and the ones who prepare your TAPAS or charcuterie will make you grin ear to ear! Whatever the staff recommend I highly encourage. The espresso martini will be unlike anything you ever had. This establishment is quite unique when it comes to “taste” What you consume is a work of art—to the eye, the nares, and your palate! The price is exquisite I am sure for some. However, what you get is unique, divine and absolutely fresh! I cannot wait to come back! I have visitors coming in the summer but I can assure the reader I will not wait for that! Good Show Claywood! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
