Claywood is a popular space that encourages people to engage with one another—as in, talk and laugh and share, and not stare at a phone. Whether that involves a couple, a family, a group of friends or even complete strangers who are open to chance encounters, Claywood invites connection.

Claywood’s food menu features a variety of wild game meats alongside small entrees like truffle mac & cheese, caramelized brussel sprouts and prosciutto wrapped asparagus. Claywood features artisan charcuterie boards, which include hearty selections of meats and cheeses.

The whiskey menu is similarly impressive and the wine menu includes a brilliant offering of old world wines.
If you’re free for Sunday brunch, check out Claywood’s exotic meat carving station, which could include elk, antelope, wild boar, venison or pheasant, which pair well with its mimosa and “mary” beverage boards.

And if that doesn’t give you something to talk about, we don’t know what will!

Super fun atmosphere! Hunter Board was a favorite at our table along with the espresso martini and the hummingbird cocktail!

We were vacationing in the Hendersonville area and picked this spot from the internet. Really cool place! Great brick and wood decor, comfy tables and lounge area and live jazz on Thursday evening. Our server Jenna (sp?) was outstanding! Really enjoyed interacting with her. Our only complaint is that our two dinners were not delivered at the same time. After about a 5-10 minute gap, we had to ask what happened to the second one. You need to be more careful about this.

We do serve our items as they are ready, some items like charcuterie boards, cold items, flat breads etc to come out faster than filet's, lamb pops etc and we do like to serve fresh and as prepared. We will work to ensure this understanding as we talk you through the menu. Thank you!

Wonderful spot to enjoy with an "eclectic" atmosphere. Amazing food, service, and drinks. Will be visiting again.

This was my third time at Claywood. Every time is an outstanding experience. The food and presentation are delicious and beautiful. The ambiance perfection. Our waitress Emily was the best!

Most unique concept. Whiskey & bourbon flights plus by the glass. Small plates charcuterie with twist toward Espana. Great clusters of stylish seats with tables, large bar with comfortable stools. Servers were very engaging and owner mingle with each party explaining concept and menu. Wish we lived closer for return often.

After reading the many great reviews received by Claywood, we were eager to try it. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the food, service, and overall experience...disappointed enough so as not to return. Though I think our waiter was trying to give us "space" to make decisions, it took an hour for us to turn-in a drink order. Service over the remaining portion of our dinner was also slow. As for the food, eclectic does not equal excellent. While the offerings were definitely distinctive, their preparation left something to be desired -- at least according to our tastes. I know I am in the minority writing an unfavorable review, but it's how our group viewed the dinner.

Hi There thank you for your review. I do believe stating you would not recommend is a specific point of view that is not pointed to anything other than timing. We are sorry we have disappointed you. Being grateful for having a certain lifestyle is our culture. We are a new business on 7th Avenue with a newly opened intersection so traffic for us is still being gauged. We were grateful to be busy on a Thursday night. Our staff including our owners worked very hard to service the amount of walk ins that evening. I am not sure there are specifics besides pace to support your feedback and react as a team. We intend to offer quality food and service each and every day. We are so happy to be supported as a small business and ask for grace during the renovation process on the street. Thank you.

We had never heard of Claywood and decided to give it a try! What a wonderful experience. All of the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We decided to try the Spanish Tapas board and were not disappointed. The small board was more than enough for 2, and had a fabulous selection. We also had the bread service and have never had such delicious foccacia before. We will definitely be back!

A pretty good meal and great drinks. My wife had the wld game brat, which was excellent. The side of pomme frites was kind of underwhelming, though. The potatoes were overcooked and not hot, like they had been made previously. I had the wild game kebobs , which were quite good, but I would have liked a little more meat with the kebob. We’ll be back!

We sat at the bar and were checking it out. The drinks were very good. We shared the Brussels and they were outstanding The bartender was really hustling but still took the time to chat with us and answer our questions. Will certainly be returning for a longer time and more food.
