Welcome to Clay's Kitchen & Bar, and we look forward to serving you.
Our food is modern Hyderabadi cuisine ( a southern region of India) and some exciting small plates from different streets and homes of all the regions of India.

Our food has received praise from Jay Rayner, Grace Dent, William Sitwell, and Tom Parker Bowles and excellent reviews in the Guardian, Observer, and Delicious magazine, among others.

We are also a pub so you can come in for drinks.

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff. Food a touch on the expensive side.

Very interesting menu, quite different to the standard options available in other Indian restaurants.

We were a large group - 10 people - so had to pre-order our food. On the day, the service was exemplary - the waitresses had the list of who ordered what and everybody was served within a couple of minutes. That’s important, because it meant we were all eating at the same time. The food was fantastic. Between us we covered a large proportion of the menu, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. Service was welcoming and attentive. We had a lovely, memorable meal - looking forward to my next visit.

Very good food. Rather noisy despite considerable efforts to reduce sound levels. Fast friendly service

Good service food was good, but I felt portion's on the small side, and therefore expensive for what was on my plate.

Slow service and ranged from experienced, but flustered to vacant and clumsy, not knowing the difference between an Americano with no milk and a Cappucino, as an example. Food was good but expensive. More choice in drinks than food. Cauliflower and Cabbage starter excellent Restaurant was full which meant v nousy as sound bounced off hard surfaces and 45 minute wait for main course.

I am sorry your experience with us wasn't up to par. I acknowledge that we have some very new staff members. I remember your table when I sent the coffees out, telling a week-old staff member which was what. I should have come with her to ensure she served it right. I apologise very much for that. Coming to the 45- min wait for the mains, they were ready within 20 mins, but when we were just about to send them out, a person from your table asked us to delay sending them by 10 -15 mins as he had to step out due to some parking-related issue. We had to re-distribute the dishes to other tables and make them again when he returned. We had acoustic panels installed on every corner 6 months ago, and this is the first noise complaint we received since then. I hope you give us one more try.

The food is unique, creative, and all round delicious! Discovered it after reading Grace Dent’s glowing review in the Guardian. The experience was everything I’d hoped and more.
