Clavells is a traditional restaurant set in the heart of the Jurassic Coast. With our very own courtyard and garden, centrally located in the heart of the picturesque village of Kimmeridge. We serve a wonderful choice of seasonal favourites and classic food dishes. Clavells should be your first port of call for a hearty Sunday roast, a three-course meal, or a sun-drenched cocktail on a glorious summer’s day.

Through the country lanes with breathtaking views we find this hidden gem. Dog friendly with their own menu, and a wide choice of food for us. Staff were so friendly and the service was brilliant. Posh fish finger sandwich with chips was amazing. Definitely must visit.

Our first time at Clavells and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Staff are lovely and very accommodating. We had our large dog with us and they put us in the corner out the way and brought him water and a biscuit. They even sorted out a local taxi for us (which we didn’t think was possible with a big dog in tow!) The portions are huge and very tasty. Bit on the pricey side - but you are in the middle of nowhere and I guess they have to cover themselves for the quieter winter months. We’ll certainly return 👍🏻

We had a lovely meal. Super attentive and friendly staff. Good menu - we had mussels and the fish stew, which was amazing! Kids menu good too. Dog friendly too!

Great place in a great location. Friendly and helpful staff who catered for our needs very well, making a fuss of the dogs that were made welcome. Service was very good and food served in good time and exactly has hoped for.

Delicious food, especially the fresh fish. Good choice on the menu. Friendly and attentive staff We enjoyed our evening and would like to return to try other dishes.

Absolutely fabulous menu with friendly service in a beautiful village setting. A little on the pricey side, but worth it for a one-off treat. Highlight had to be the freshly-made tomato sauce for the railway-sleeper thick chips, although the blackcurrant gin cocktail was also fabulous.
