Really enjoyable lunch and will be back. Craig's service was superb & friendly and the lunch set menu was delicious and reasonably priced. Home-made mocca and hazelnut ice cream a treat and the apple & basil sorbet out of this world. A place that could easily find a regular spot in our calendar.

To be quite frank the restaurant looked stunning but that is all it was. Receptionist and waiters are just simply young people that can barely function without the assistance of a grown up. Please see below our full experience. We had a table booked for a special occasion and we arrived there 20 min earlier than the booking. On arrival we were greeted and told that they were trying to see whether they could squeeze us in like we didn't have a reservation made. We then informed the receptionist we would sit down outside and have a drink whilst they'd find a way to solve this problem. We ordered a drink and whilst waiting for the drinks to come we began discussing of simply going to another restaurant that could actually manage reservations and bookings properly. As we had a booking at 20:30 but were told that they have no tables available as the previous table is talking longer than expected. That is when Giulio came and we asked whether the cancellation fee would apply in this situation to which he answered that it wouldn't. We then told him that we would wait until the time of our reservation would come and if the table would not have been ready by then we would just leave. Ten minutes later we asked Giulio whether our table was ready and he told us he gave the table to someone else. All this whilst gas lighting us into believing we had told him we did not wish to proceed. I am expecting for him or any of his underlings to reply to this review saying we mentioned cancelling. It is funny however that between 5 people he was the only one that understood that we wished to cancel. And if so, why would we remain to have a drink and not just simply leave? Why would we spend any of our money there given the reservation issue?

As usual, Clara delivered great on the quality of food and service. It’s a lovely neighborhood gem in West Byfleet.

Our second visit & we all had the taster menu. Absolutely delicious would be a hard call to decide our favourite dish. Such a little gem, looking forward to returning again soon!

As always, a warm welcome from Giulio (who had thoughtfully opened an excellent bottle of Tuscan Cabernet Sauvignon and decanted it - it needed some air and was perfect by the time we came to drink it) and superb food from Valentino (our first time exploring the new menu) with attentive service from the rest of the Clava team. Great evening.

We come here every few weeks- it’s a bit of a trek, but thoroughly worth it. Great food delivered with a smile. Giulio never fails to suggest interesting and enjoyable wine pairings. Always feels like a treat. I wish we lived a bit closer!!
