Claudio Pirollo grew up in Belgium where he soon discovered his passion for cooking as he wandered around his father’s fine Italian épicerie (grocery store) and watched his mother prepare dinner every day. The dual influence of Italy and Belgium triggered Chef Pirollo’s aspirations to develop his knowledge and experience with different flavors.
A Trattoria is not a pizzeria, it is an Italian-style eating establishment that is generally much less formal than a ristorante but more formal than an osteria. It is similar to what the French call Bistrot.
Trattorias are traditionally family owned, casual, rustic neighborhood restaurants found throughout all of Italy that offer fresh, regional, local and family specialties on the menu.

I’m a regular here. Chole introduced me to a new appetizer. The pasta and wine were excellent. Service here is wonderful.

We had the prefix menu today and was amazing at a great value. The arugula salad was dressed perfectly, the pasta and pizza so delicious too, even the focaccia and Claudio’s olive oil. The best ending was the panna cotta and the bomboloni. So so good!

The pasta is the absolute best at this fine establishment. Try to visit at least once a week . Alex is great.

Terrific service and food. The seafood pasta was exquisite, with great clams and prawns in a seafood infused sauce. The T-bone was perfectly cooked, with nice potatoes, rappini, and onions on the side. The service was great, even on a very crowded Friday night, including because everyone on the staff pitches in to be sure that people get taken care of. We sat outside, where they have set up an outdoor dining space in a former parking lot.

Eating here was delightful. Service was prompt, pleasant, and caring. We both ordered from the specials menu and were not disappointed. Entrees were beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. The restaurant filled up quickly and I was glad we’d made reservations; with the caliber of both food and care, it was no wonder the restaurant quickly became crowded on a Friday evening. Lovely place to eat.
