Claudio Pirollo grew up in Belgium where he soon discovered his passion for cooking as he wandered around his father’s fine Italian épicerie (grocery store) and watched his mother prepare dinner every day. The dual influence of Italy and Belgium triggered Chef Pirollo’s aspirations to develop his knowledge and experience with different flavors.
A Trattoria is not a pizzeria, it is an Italian-style eating establishment that is generally much less formal than a ristorante but more formal than an osteria. It is similar to what the French call Bistrot.
Trattorias are traditionally family owned, casual, rustic neighborhood restaurants found throughout all of Italy that offer fresh, regional, local and family specialties on the menu.

Saturday night at Claudio's is a joyous time. Surrounded as we were by groups of friends and families enjoying the delicious dishes. A place for making memories.

Excellent food and service. A bit crowded on Saturday night, but that is to be expected. Next time I’ll go during the week.

I took Chloe’s suggestion and had the braised ribs. Fantastic. I’m a regular here .

Our first trip to Claudio's Table. We were a party of two. We found it to be a small and very friendly neighborhood bistro, the kind of place we would visit regularly if we lived in that neighborhood. We were there for a late lunch on a weekday, so the place wasn't busy. The lunch menu is mostly pasta and pizza, with a wood-fired oven for the pizzas. The menu also includes salads and appetizers. Daily specials are written on a chalk board on the wall. We both had caesar salad and pizza, both of which we enjoyed enough that we would order them again. We probably won't because we want to try other items on the menu. Claudio's also has an excellent wine list that includes one of the best lists of wine by the glass that I have seen in a restaurant of this size. We have different tastes in wine, so we took advantage of the wines by the glass. This list is another reason to return to Claudio's. The quality of the service, which was very friendly and attentive. Always a plus. I wish I had a place like this near my home.

This restaurant opened in place of the Boathouse. While we miss the Boathouse, we are so excited this place opened so close to our home! The food and drinks are excellent. It's a little pricy but they welcome kids and families, and it's often somewhere you can grab a spot at the bar during the week! It's a lively atmosphere, but that makes it more comfortable to bring the kids, and also a great place to sit and talk with friends! The staff works hard to make you happy, and the decor is classic Italian bistro. I know an expansion is coming and can't wait!

Two of us enjoyed dinner at Claudio’s yesterday. My wife had the soup of the day — a wonderful cauliflower soup made with seafood stock. Delicious. I had the fried artichokes which are always spectacular. My wife than had the mushroom pizza — terrific and large enough that she left with, as she and our waiter Alex agreed, was two lunches worth. I enjoyed the “Pesto Tuesday” dish of Campanella pasta with shrimp. I loved the dish and none came home for lunch. Finally, we split the olive cake served with berries and vanilla ice cream. All in all, quite a feast for a Tuesday.
