Claudio Pirollo grew up in Belgium where he soon discovered his passion for cooking as he wandered around his father’s fine Italian épicerie (grocery store) and watched his mother prepare dinner every day. The dual influence of Italy and Belgium triggered Chef Pirollo’s aspirations to develop his knowledge and experience with different flavors.
A Trattoria is not a pizzeria, it is an Italian-style eating establishment that is generally much less formal than a ristorante but more formal than an osteria. It is similar to what the French call Bistrot.
Trattorias are traditionally family owned, casual, rustic neighborhood restaurants found throughout all of Italy that offer fresh, regional, local and family specialties on the menu.

I have never fet so rushed at a restaurant. The server offered to clear the food while we were still eating. A moment later the hostess showed up to clear. I was still eating. The server brought us the check unasked for while we were still eating dessert. No chance to order coffee. All this well before closing time when many tables were still dining. It was my third time there and we all thought the food this time was quite mediocre. I was embarrassed that I had recommended the place to my friends.

Excellent food, perfectly prepared. Very good service. Prices are a bit high, but that’s true with all good restaurants. A bit noisy.

We had a lovely dinner at the perfect table in the window. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. We ordered several appetizers then pastas and entrees. The wine selection as solid. The only oversight was not ordering a pizza. So while this was our very first visit it will certainly not be our last one and a pizza is item #1!

The food was very good! Fresh artichokes well prepared were delicious. Giovanni came to our table to check if all was OK and we had a nice conversation. Alex, our server, was polite and attentive.

Had the osso buco and potato leek soup as an appetizer. Alex and everyone was, as usual, wonderful

Real Italian food prepared by an actual Italian chef. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, especially the homemade pasta. Reasonable prices for both food and drinks. Would absolutely recommend this place.

The restaurant was great but the noise is awful it is almost impossible to hear your table mates

It does get busy and little louder on days like friday and saturday, especially pick time. it is usually full, people are out in a weekend mood, everybody is happy, drinking and eating. The food was more original than many Italian restaurants in this area. Sauces that might be ordinary had an interesting twist either an unusual herb or essence added that made them distinct. The pizza is beautifully charred with fresh and interesting toppings rarely found in this area. We will definitely go back to try more of the menu.

My butternut squash soup and vitello tonnato were delicious. Friends had linguine and clams, also good. Service was good. However, our friend who ordered the the eggplant Parmesan did not enjoy it for the same reason that I didn’t care for it on an earlier visit — the serving dish is difficult to navigate and the sauce too heavy. It’s difficult to cut the eggplant in the serving dish due to its shape. Please consider a different serving dish!
