Located in a former auto shop in the vibrant Montrose neighborhood near The Menil Collection and Museum District, Clark’s Houston is the third and largest location of our popular neighborhood oyster bar and seafood restaurant. Opened in Fall 2023, Clark’s features freshly shucked oysters, crudo, lobster roll, daily fish specials, caviar and blini, bowls of chowder and cioppino as well as a much-loved burger and shoestring fries.

The restaurant specializes in martinis and signature cocktails as well as an extensive Champagne and wine list. The design is light, bright, and airy with nautically-themed touches including a centerpiece fish tank, teak wood furniture, bright white walls, and blue and turquoise tones.

In addition to a marble-topped oyster bar and dining room, there’s a large, covered patio for prime people watching and oyster slurping. Clark’s Houston also offers a semi-private dining room for special occasions and events.

The cioppino was the best I have had in Htown. Baked oysters need to be grilled to be excellent. Great martini. Will be back!

Brought my seafood loving Grandmother here for her birthday. She absolutely loved it! And Mason was the coolest server ever!! He and his team gave great recommendations and everything was delicious and flavorful. Worth every penny. We sat on the patio and I felt like I was at a beach resort restaurant with the nice breeze and decor. Will definitely be back to Clark’s!

They do have a high chair for toddlers. The New England clam chowder was more runny than creamier. There was lots and lots of celery, but not so much clams. The lobster roll was ok. We ordered the oyster’s chef’s special and it was a hit. This was worth the dinner. The drinks were ok. I doubt that we will return to the restaurant.

Delicious variety of oysters, perfect temp, great service, chewy crusty bread. If you love fresh real shoestring potatoes like I do, that’s the “fries” here, worth it. But this time I just popped in for oysters, relaxed on the patio, so delish.

Let me start off by saying that this was my third visit to Clark's and my last. My party had a reservation for 5 persons at 7:30 pm. Upon arrival, we were shown to a picknick table outside in the back of the restaurant. I refused that option saying that I would like table with chairs which had a back so we could recline during dinner. I explained that there were many four tops available and simply adding a seat would be perfectly acceptable. After the host hemmed and hawed at this idea, he finally agreed but said they couldn't take a seat from another table even though it was not in use, they would have to construct another chair! I thought they were joking. Provide a customer with another chair immediately or make them wait to construct another chair? The manager of the restaurant never once showed his/her face to rectify the stupidity of the host or apologize. To add insult to injury, an entree and side had to be returned because they were too salty to eat. I highly recommend choosing another restaurant.

Always a great experience. Good food, service seemed a little off. Maybe I was a little off, not sure. Nevertheless, one of my favorite restaurants.

Great experience. Fantastic job converting an old gas station. Love the design. We were lucky to eat here on one of Houston's few amazing weather days. Loved the outdoor area. Fantastic staff. The food was great. Steak was very unique and I loved it. I normally just like a steak with salt & pepper but this version won me over. We loved the sauce on the Linguine & clam pasta. The sauce clung to the pasta & had a great mouthfeel. Crudo was so flavorful. I can't wait to eat that dish again & again.
