Located in a former auto shop in the vibrant Montrose neighborhood near The Menil Collection and Museum District, Clark’s Houston is the third and largest location of our popular neighborhood oyster bar and seafood restaurant. Opened in Fall 2023, Clark’s features freshly shucked oysters, crudo, lobster roll, daily fish specials, caviar and blini, bowls of chowder and cioppino as well as a much-loved burger and shoestring fries.

The restaurant specializes in martinis and signature cocktails as well as an extensive Champagne and wine list. The design is light, bright, and airy with nautically-themed touches including a centerpiece fish tank, teak wood furniture, bright white walls, and blue and turquoise tones.

In addition to a marble-topped oyster bar and dining room, there’s a large, covered patio for prime people watching and oyster slurping. Clark’s Houston also offers a semi-private dining room for special occasions and events.

Everything done right. Great oyster selection and quality. Fantastic shrimp cocktail. Crab cake was excellent. Octopus and Tuscan Kale also delicious. Service was responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly. One of the best seafood places from the standpoint of both food and ambience in a loaded category in our city.

Do not order mussels and clams. Tiniest ever. I mean, tiniest mussels and clams. The flavor was good. The mussels and clams in cioppino are larger. The photo in the website is misleading. What are disappointing experience.

We came here for the first time last night and really enjoyed our experience! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very Montrose, and the service was wonderful. We’ll definitely be back!

This place was fantastic! Wonderful food and amazing service. Their oysters were absolutely fantastic. I highly recommended and can’t wait to visit again.

Loved eating here with some girls from work. It was a nice treat and their oysters are fantastic. I’ve never been disappointed with any Clark’s location.

I enjoyed the food very much and the service was great as well, the ambiance was creative considering the original structure. If you love oysters I recommend!

It was loud could hardly hear the waiter. Food okay, pricey for not being excellent. Martinis are on point.
