Pork schnitzel and short rib were excellent as well as deconstructed potato salad. Service was also excellent. We will definitely be back!

Really, really terrific and well worth the drive from Chevy Chase MD. Our server was great - we took his food suggestions and were well rewarded. The ambiance and noise level were comfortable/very good - I had no problem hearing the conversation at the table and I often do. We will return!

Excellent early dinner at Clarity. We each had two appetizers and split a desert. The scallops and foie gras were superb while the potato salad with goat cheese and lamb bolognese were good but not outstanding. The portions were sizable and nicely plated. Service was attentive without being pushy. We were there over an hour and a half and there was absolutely no pressure to hurry through the meal. The ambiance is fine (modern and straight forward) but does not feel special or provide any sense of heightened dining. Overall a solid four stars. Great for a date or dinner with friends.

This was first disappointing experience at Clarity - and first time back on over 2 years (since we moved away from the DC area). It started on arrival, when the door on the right of the entry (the side most diners use) was locked at 6 pm. We and other diners waited and lined up. Eventually someone came out and realized the door was locked. Next, we did not appreciate that Jon Krinn was no longer the chef. Not sure if that explains our experience, but we won't be back either way. Our mains arrived when we were only half way through our apps, notwithstanding that we didn't order them until well after we ordered our apps (to ensure we could enjoy a leisurely meal). They originally said they'd take them back to the kitchen and bring the later. I said I didn't want food that has been under a warmer. So they offered to fire new dishes when we were ready. We said okay. I ordered the 48 hour braised beef short rib. It was tough and required the use of a steak knife. The flavor was good, but it was not fun to eat. The restaurant did take it off the check as a gesture of goodwill. I probably should have ordered something else instead. My wife ordered the soft shell crab. It was mediocre. I think it was the same crab they brought the first time, just replaced. (And it's possible they did that with my short rib too.) Highlight was our wine, which we brought ourselves and paid a $30 corkage to open. Yet we had to top off our glasses each time after the firsts pour. If you're going to charge me a corkage fee, you should be as attentive as you are the diners who order wine by the glass where you want to sell them another glass. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, especially because there are so many other restaurants we could have enjoyed for our one night out when we were back in the DC area.

Clarity never disappoints! The scallop appetizer and halibut were delicious, as always, and we loved some of the new items on the menu like the pork schnitzel too. Victor makes amazing cocktails and the service from Max is top notch. We will be back again soon!

Price and ambience are a problem. I’m eating dinner while the waiter serving the adjacent table is 18 inches from my face. This is not what a high end restaurant should be.

We've always loved Clarity, but with Tracy O'Grady taking the helm, we can't wait to see what she does!! We've been fans since Tracy & Brian opened Willow, and ate many many fabulous meals there through their 10-year run. She made a positive impact on Green Pig Bistro, but landing at Clarity was a win for all. Great restaurant, great staff, following great Chefs (Jon Krinn, Nick Palermo) -- Tracy will continue the tradition, taking Clarity to the next level. Her gazpacho is the best we've ever had, and that's only the beginning.
