Located in the heart of the the Most Beautiful Square in Texas, City Post Chophouse began its story as a post office in the 1930s, during the Great Depression and Prohibition. Nearly a century later, the beautifully renovated historic building now offers an elevated dining experience, live music and private events.

Executive Chef Adrian Corkill has curated a stand-out menu, featuring fine cuts and chops of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as fresh seafood and decadent side dishes served family style, along with unique handcrafted cocktails. Accommodations for vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets are readily available. Our wine selection includes something for everyone, with a variety of by-the-glass options.

Reservations can be made for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in our main dining room, where “Texas formal” attire is appropriate. Walk-ins are welcome in our oyster bar, where our full menu is available with a more relaxed dress code.

The City Post restaurant was a great experience . We ( my wife & I) were visiting from the East Coast … we tried this place before going back home … and it did not disappoint … awesome food , awesome service , very nice interior … again our server was out of sight …. Highly recommend

I ordered the wedge salad. It was lettuce, dressing, and a few pieces of bacon. Absolutely not worth a $15 price tag for lettuce and dressing. Very disappointing food for what I expected City Post to be. Service was excellent no complaints there. But why serve a $15 salad that’s just lettuce and dressing?

Really wanted this to be outstanding since it’s such a neat place. We had a reservation for later in the evening and had to wait over 15 minutes past that time to be seated. Food was good only complaint would have been the 42 oz T bone. Half of it was excellent the other half had way too much tissue or gristle in it making it hard to eat that strip side. The two sides were cooked to different temperatures one being the medium we ordered and one almost rare. For such an expensive cut of meat I just expected more. The rest of the meal was very good. We did have a hard time getting water glasses refilled often waiting a while to get more. The ambiance was good and would be great for romantic dinner or really any type outing. We will return and try it again and see if we have a better experience maybe trying the Tomahawk Ribeye.

Great experience here. Celiac diner and the server was so knowledgeable about what I could have and if he wasn’t sure, he checked with the chef. Beautiful space, great atmosphere, and will be back!

We always enjoy setting at the bar for Brunch - Luke is a magnificent bartender and 1st class in service - JP always greets us with a smile and is one of the best servers in town. from the Chef to every staff member they are always great & the new brunch menu is amazing :)

Excellent food and service. We were there on a busy Saturday evening. The host was prompt in seating us. It was our Anniversary and they acknowledged it by having a nice card on our table. They also gave us a complimentary dessert. Yum. Only complaint is that the piano was too loud. Very talented pianist but was playing so loudly you had to shout to be heard.
