I was so excited to try City Hall Steak & Cocktails. I wanted to love it, but I was disappointed. It was a random Wednesday evening and I was so sure that it was going to be a wonderful experience. Sigh. I specified in my reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. We were placed at a 4 too in the middle of the restaurant-right outside of the kitchen. It was truly the least “romantic” table. As we were sitting they gathered up the other 2 place settings. It was surprising because we had a reservation for an anniversary dinner but they had not reserved a table for us. We were on time-about 5 minutes early. Maybe I’m confused as to what an anniversary dinner reservation should look like? Maybe other dining establishments have gone above and beyond? We seriously contemplated leaving, but chose to stay because we were celebrating. We decided to have a glass of wine then leave. The selection was limited and the one wine that we wanted was unavailable. Ok, no worries, we can have wine at home or anywhere else in town. Again, we contemplated leaving, but decided to stay and order dinner. We both ordered the 7oz filet. We ordered medium rare and I had the blue cheese butter on top of mine. Our steaks were perfection and the blue cheese butter was delicious. I’m glad we decided to have the filets because they were the saving grace for our experience and I would highly recommend. However, if you are looking for a quiet, slow, romantic dinner you should go elsewhere. I would suggest Mahogany’s.

Enjoyed it very much. Good food. It was a little loud towards the end of the meal but not bad.

The food was great; service even better. Morning was one of the best servers I’ve ever seen. I recommend the crab cakes and au gratin potatoes.

Our service was great! Food was amazing, especially the spicy bacon collards and the cheesecake. Cocktails were fantastic as well!

Food was delicious and well presented, although our steaks were not very warm when they arrived due to serving on a cold plate and then putting the cold butter on top. Cheesy scalloped potatoes were incredible. They offered a really great wine list with many options and price ranges. But the piece de resistance was the gigantic chocolate cake for dessert with sliced strawberries. Chef’s kiss!

Excited to see a new chop house in the S Tulsa (Jenks) area, and it did not disappoint. Food was excellent (steak was awesome), service was top shelf (ask for Morning). Only complaint would be kitchen was slow… but we were in no rush and enjoyed the ambience and our pals. Will definitely be back! Note - the wedge salad is an entire head of lettuce and fed our table of 4. If you’re looking for light fare — that plus a couple of their fantastic cocktails would make for a high-end night on a low-end budget.

A couple days ago, while driving down main street in Jenks, we noticed that the City Hall restaurant was open. We saw excellent reviews already appearing and thought we would give it a try. Our waiter, Nathan, was engaging and very attentive. As far as the food goes, the following is true: Crab cake: perfect! Filet : perfect! Pork chop: perfect! Lamb shank : perfect! Macaroni and cheese: fantastic! Collard greens: awesome! Strawberry ice cream cake: fantastic! So the take away message is this….. if it is on the menu, it will be amazing. We are so glad to have a high end restaurant like this in Jenks. My wife and I will be frequent flyers here!

We arrived for our 5:30 reservation to a mostly empty restaurant. We opted to sit at the bar to watch the end of a football game. It was great to see TV's in the bar area, however, they were behind a smoked glass panel so you really couldn't see much... But we weren't there for a TV we were there to have amazing food! Well, City Hall came close... The bar is gorgeous, it would fit in at any world class establishment, however the chairs were a little small and the seat was perched slightly forward. With seat covering being a slick leather like material, it became a little hard to stay in the seat. We ordered 6 oysters and the steak tartare to start. The Oysters were amazing 10/10, however the bread that came with the tartare was a dry soft sourdough that sucked all the flavor out of your mouth. I think it would be much better if it was toasted, or oiled and grilled, It really needed more texture. The tartare itself, was good. Next we asked some questions about the menu and got several answers for the same question. What's the fish of the day, "Alaskan Seabass" was one answer, then we got Chilean Seabass.. How is it cooked? "To perfection" our bartender tells us, we giggled thinking it was a joke, it was not, "that's how they describe it to us" Next bartender says, its grilled. When it came out? It was pan seared. But My wife loved it, even getting more of the sauce that came with it. I ordered a Prime Strip, which came out cool to the touch and felt like it had been placed on a refrigerated plate when taking a bite. It was cold on the bottom... It had great flavor, but I just couldn't enjoy it cold. The bartender said he told someone in the kitchen, but nobody ever came out to us. Sides were creamed spinach, that wasn't very creamy, and mac-n-cheese, that I didn't like, but my wife loved. All in all, not what we expected for $300, probably wont go back. If we do, it will be down the road, after they have got all the kinks out.
