Two chefs preparing worldly cuisine featuring share plates and tasting menus. Ciro features an intimate dining experience with 30 seats, an open kitchen, plenty of wines by the glass and can accommodate dietary restrictions.

Michael DiBianca is a Culinary Institute of America graduate and New Jersey native who has been a local star in the Wilmington food/dining scene for more than a decade. This local treasure comes to the area from the former Restaurant 821 in Wilmington, where he was owner Tobias Lawry’s sous chef and then chef de cuisine. He went on the launch the renowned Moro restaurant and Satsuma Asian Kitchen & Bar in the Trolley Square area.

Urgent night is outrageously wonderful. We each tried a different burger and they were all exceptional. The tomato salad was a delightful start to our meal and the blueberry pie was an amazing way you end our dinner. If you hi to Ciro on a Thursday evening snd thru are offering burger night. Try it you will not be disappointed! Service wax welcoming as always

I would recommend the Chef’s Tasting menu at Ciro. The five-course option is the perfect number of courses and a great value. Everything was delicious!

We had our first meal at Ciro and it was delicious! The tasting menu was excellent. We did the 5 course. Drinks and service were excellent also. We will be back for sure!

Not as wonderful as past visits. Flatbread and duck were outstanding. Beet salad and crab salad (entree) were good. They were out of scallops (menu entree) at 5:30PM on a Saturday. We were served my wife's app and my entree, then my beet salad after a little while. Later, my wife's duck was delivered, but not after it was walked past us to the front for a photo (phone eats first I guess). All this when I mentioned it was our wedding anniversary in the OpenTable reservation. There was no one seated at 5:30PM and only one other party (another deuce) when we left at 6:30PM. They should have seated us at a four top instead of the tiny deuce. Overall, a little disappointing. I would still recommend, as I think this was just an unfortunate anomaly.

My husband and I went to Ciro for the Whiskey Dinner. The whiskey cocktails and every food course was great (especially the tuna tartare and the lamb meatball), though the timing of the food was very slow at the beginning. There was only one server, Joe, and he did a great job keeping up but he definitely could have used some help. The restaurant needs some attention to the lighting - several bulbs out including in the bathroom, which was very dimly lit.

Our second visit. We have enjoyed the tasting menu both times. The Chef provides a progression of dishes that make creative use of a variety of ingredients. Each offering is delicious. The decor is minimalist--the space is carved out of an existing wine shop--but contributes to the overall experience by allowing the superb food to shine through. As the restaurant is part of a wine shop, the wine selection is extensive. On both visits we've asked the host to select a bottle for us to complement the entire tasting menu, and were very pleased both times.

Ciro’s never disappoints. Meal was outstanding. I had the bacon appetizer, the shrimp and scallops, the short ribs. All were amazing. Topped off meal with the scrumptious carrot cake. A delightful evening.

Another great find in the Wilmington restaurant scene. This was restaurant week (which I didn't realize until after we arrived) so we had a limited menu. We plan on returning. There were three options for three courses and all were excellent. My wife had and thoroughly enjoyed the burrata and short ribs and I the tuna tartare and salmon. We both chose the carrot cake to end. My wife also had one menu item, a beet salad, because our server was kind enough to ask the equally kind chef if he would make it for her. He did and she loved it. The portions were perfect. This is a smallish neighborhood type place but there is plenty of spacing between tables. All in all an enjoyable experience!
