Inspired by the hustle and bustle of India’s ancient and modern bazaars where goods, ideas, flavours and experiences were exchanged, Cinnamon Bazaar Richmond’s menu, from Executive Chef Vivek Singh and Head Chef Rakesh Singh, runs from breakfast through to dinner and features pan-Indian, street food style dishes, along with a new innovative range of vegan friendly plates, that blend modern cultural influences with classic spices and flavours.

Located a stone’s throw from the station and Richmond Theatre, Cinnamon Bazaar Richmond is designed to transport you to the colourful markets of India. Interiors are vibrant and playful with bright neon signs, bold patterns and illustrations whilst a spacious al fresco terrace is the perfect spot to while away the day and indulge in a spot of people-watching.

    Delicious food, shame about the noise! We visited Cinnamon Bazaar in Richmond early-ish on a Friday night. It was fairly busy, and we were excited at the lovely decor and delicious smells coming from the kitchen. The food did not disappoint - I've been to the Covent Garden branch and it was as good as I remember that being - really flavourful, creative, and imaginative dishes. My only criticism of the menu is the lack of imaginative non alcoholic options - one 0% beer and a couple of fruity drinks doesn't really reflect the creativity and considerateness of the food selection. What wasn't so great was the ambience. We were initially seated in a slightly cramped two person table next to two larger - and very loud - groups. In our first ten or so minutes of being seated they were already getting louder and louder, and so we quietly asked if we could move, which our server kindly accommodated for us. We were then seated toward the front of the restaurant - at a much nicer table - which we enjoyed a lot more. However, the acoustics of the place are really not great, so despite not being close to full, it was unpleasantly loud for the whole meal, and we struggled to hear one another (neither of us has any hearing or sensory issues). I think more soft surfaces would really help with this, as although it look really lovely, the whole place is hard surfaces except some upholstered seating, and this really does make a difference. The service was ok -as it got busier it looked like the small staff team were run off their feet. They were really kind an helpful, but service was slow. Not a big deal for us, but I think if we had been planning to go elsewhere for a specific time this would have been tricky. We waited about 20 minutes, with our dirty dishes on the table, to get our bill. Not a huge deal but not my favourite experience! I would absolutely go back as the food is fantastic, but Id probably wear some of those noise cancelling earplugs!

    Wonderfully presented, and tantalising flavours (all the chaats we ordered were particularly delicious) and friendly service. Our waitress was great at explaining the dishes and advising us. A really memorable meal, would definitely return!

    Fantastic evening meal with family. Been here a few times now, and the restaurant hasn’t failed to impress. I’ve tried a different dish each time I’ve visited as there is so much variety on the menu and looking forward to return again and try something new!
