A place to be, not to be seen. Inspired by the colors and textures of works of Brazilian modernist master Cicero Dias, Cicero Bistrot seamlessly blends creative force and culinary excellence with a Mediterranean-inspired cuisine meticulously prepared with purpose-sourced ingredients, like chocolate from a Yanomami tribe of the Amazon that gives the final touch in the ginger risotto with sauteed lobster.

Chef Hugo Cortez, from Portugal, ensured that each of his creations dialogues with the owner's private art collection, which wangs throughout the restaurant, and authentic vintage pieces of furniture. Luciano Medeiros, from Brazil, executes the menu with Brazilian passion. In the peaceful neighborhood of Campo de Ourique, the restaurant is a world apart from the tourist areas of Lisbon.

Tremendous experience. The food was delicious, the staff were extremely warm, pleasant and helpful. It was a very personal dining experience as the owner personally talked to all the diners about their experience. I had a great chat with him and a walk through all the fabulous art work on display. A must go whenever in Lisbon.

Had an incredible experience for our first wedding anniversary. The staff was very courteous and friendly and gave us a tour of the restaurant and told us about the history of Cicero and described many of the paintings. The owner visited our table to congratulate us and heard that our next stop was in France and he proceeded to give us some restaurant recommendations and even followed up with a text after our visit. Overall an incredible experience and the food presentation and flavour was also outstanding. I would definitely come back!

Excellent chef, owner and ambience. A great little gem to enjoy an exquisite dining experience in Lisbon. Our group of six women thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and drinks!

We received Cícero Bistrot as a recommendation from a friend and we are so thankful we did. This restaurant offers its guests a phenomenal offering of food and beverages, with each course better than the last. Recommendations for the menu were spot on and the service was outstanding! If you are in Lisbon or planning to visit, this restaurant is a must visit place!

This restaurant is a gem. Beautiful setting, dining amid some fantastic works of art. The service was unparalleled, very attentive but not intrusive. Food was excellent and I can highly recommend the scallop appetizer and the cod for dinner. This is a must try in Lisbon!

Simply fantastic! Between the exquisitely prepared food, fantastic staff and relaxed ambiance, this place is a true local gem. The owner is a great host as well, and cares deeply about your experience. Highly recommended!

A RARE FIND IN LISBON My experience at Cicero Bistrot was exceptional from start to finish. Entering in an understated storefront in a mid rise apartment building I was immediately transported to a classic European/South American blend of decor and cuisine. If the art collection adorning the walls does not beckon you to read the rich history of this establishment, then please take time to read about it in the menu. I ordered the baked Cod which was plated and served in a unique manor and which was a treat to the eyes as well as the palate. My dining companion enjoyed his selection with equal enthusiasm. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and we were truly made to feel welcome. It was an experience that will be remembered with fondness for years to come.
