Our third time at this restaurant in two months. Lovely staff, beautiful room and we both loved the food again! Will be back for sure whenever we visit Manchester . Phillip P Keene

Lovely meal for my daughter’s birthday, in a stunning building. Very attentive service and food was lovely - felt portions could have been a bit bigger, but the seafood parts of my daughter’s meal were the largest I’ve seen, especially the muscles! Enjoyed my Hugo cocktail, but it would’ve been even better with a measure of gin in it…

I attended with a part of 6 for my birthday first time coming here since Rossos was here. The building was decorated beautifully looking stunning outside Upon entry you are greeted with a magnificent looking bar and the whole place oozes opulence and class! And a live singer. I was in for a treat! Firstly our table was far too small for a party of 6! I found one of the waiters to be quite arrogant, he wasn’t friendly we tried to close the curtains as the lighting for photos wasn’t too good He came over and told us to move our things and we shouldn’t draw the curtains because they are automatically close and open and we will break them ( don’t know how we could have broke them because we just tried to close one panel and they automatically closed themselves) Anyway when we had our mains served he was all in our private space no excuse me, he went on to serve the couple next to us who had tableside serving and he dropped the cutely on the floor along with some fish. No apologies nothing . Our waitress Sal was lovely and attentive her service was great!! The food was delicious apart from one thing that prevented a five star. I had the risotto with seafood and my lingustine was the centre piece of my dish and unfortunately it had not been de-veined so basically the poo tract was still inside!!!! Yes it was very off putting. I fed this info back to Sal I told her it wasn’t a complaint but feedback she said she would mention to the chef. I didn’t expect this especially when your bill is £300!! My partner had the fillet steak which was a-mazing! I would like to go back again.

Loved our night. Had a lovely waiter who went above & beyond as it was my Birthday. Think we will be remembered as the table who hijacked LL Cool J. 😂 All the staff were lovely. Yes we had to wait a little while for table but we were slightly late with traffic anyway. We weren’t rushed. I could see others overstaying but you can’t blame them as such a good restaurant. Didn’t have to wait for food or drinks. Went like clockwork. Special shout though to our Dominican friend who served. Such a lovely young man. An asset to you. We will be back. Thank you!!

staff were incredibly rude. i went to the toilet after being taken to my table, when i arrived back my table had been given to someone else. the man (security i think?) told me i should have informed him that i was going to the toilet?? since when should a woman tell a strange man that she is going to the toilet? he told me to queue back up and wait for a table despite me booking this 2 months in advance for my birthday. when i challenged him he threatened to have me kicked out and it completely ruined my night. WILL NOT BE RETURNING

I was really disappointed with our visit we felt rushed when my food arrived it was luke warm I should have said something but then you have the situation that you end up eating your food on your own and not together the plate was cold and I would have expected an establishment like Cibo to have noticed this our waiter was constantly being harrased to by his superior to check if our bottle of wine was empty I felt really sorry for him he was obviously under pressure when we asked for the bill I picked it up to look through it and he immediately came over with the card machine the whole experience was totally unenjoyable this time earlier in the year when we visited the service and food was exeptional such a shame for this not to have been the same I would feeling like this not recommend Cibo to anyone !

What a terrible experience. We were seated in the very busy manchester Cibo. All was fine except when we asked for tap water, we were given bottles. We thought the server hadn’t heard us so brushed it off. 20 minutes later still no drinks order taken. 30 minutes later we had someone take our food and drinks at the same time. 5 minutes later the food arrived… still no drinks. We were a party of 3 and two of us had finished eating, they cleared our plates whilst one of us was still eating! When we mentioned it they said ‘yeah and i can still clear your plates’. It was very clear they wanted us in and out without hesitation. Couldn’t even swallow our last mouthful of wine without the glasses being taken away - this is not an exaggeration. Do not come here for a relaxing night.

We booked a table for 4pm on Saturday … by 5.30pm it was very busy. Tables were very close together hence customers and waiters having to squeeze past everyone/thing. Waiters were attentive to the point that you felt they were getting you fed and then trying to get you out as soon as possible, ready to turn the table for the next customers. Starters were good and really good value with large portions .. if anything too big ? Pizza main was great 👍🏻 the pasta main was cold 🥲 the veal was quite tough 🤷🏻‍♂️ all sides were at extra cost Puddings were good 👍🏻 When we asked for the bill an extra 12.5% service charge added even though there was only 3 of us 🤷🏻‍♂️ there is no need for the restaurant to do this .. 🤷🏻‍♂️ it was removed when I queried it If you like busy and ‘energetic’ and standard Italian food this place is for you .. fine dining it is not

Extremely disappointed the food was poor - this is an alleged top end restaurant in the city centre, the antipasti was incredibly poor! The service was also not great. This was a treat for my team and as a Manchester based business I will definitely not be recommending this restaurant. We paid £470 for a really really sub standard experience. It’s a real shame as this should be a far better for a Manchester based restaurant in a prime location.
