Beautiful venue as it was before when it was Rosso…..same look but not same service. Booked for eight as a special birthday meal. Had to wait 15mins extra for our table firstly which wasn’t too bad as we waited at the bar area. We ordered starters and they were lovely. Was the Mains that let it down, My chateaubriand steak was cold and my sides were forgotten I had to ask twice and still wasn’t brought, one diner didn’t even get thiers until all the rest had well finished eating. Then they had to send the stone cold sides back. Nobody checked the meal was ok and had to flag down other servers to rectify. I asked for a drink three times before it was served. The service of the night wasn’t great and I’m hoping it’s not the normal as it used to be one of our favourite places prior to getting taken over. The staff were very busy though and hopefully it’s not like this if we do visit again.

Had an excellent evening when we visited Cibo last Saturday. Food, service & ambience was amazing. Really good value for money, can't wait to go back next month !

Seemed to be a different type of clientele being allowed in now. Lot of sportswear about. Forgot to seat us for 30 minutes, had to ask where they were up to with our table. Food was very average. Ribs were tough, veal was cold. Disappointing as Wilmslow location is wonderful.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great and it’s a stunning building. The staff were kind and friendly however we asked for salt twice to two different staff members and they never brought any. Food came quickly but was absolutely not to the standard we expected considering how beautiful the place is. Food was tasteless to be honest and I’ve had nicer meals from much simpler cheaper places so was really let down by that. The dessert helped redeem the place as the tiramisu was lovely. We asked to sit at the bar which was fine but when we went to the bar there wasn’t any seats so not sure why when we asked if there was we were told yes. Overall we had an okay time just not the standard we expected. I doubt very much I’ll return.

This was the best meal we’ve had in Manchester, the food was amazing & perfectly seasoned. Compliments to the chefs for a fantastic night, we will definitely be back

I had carbonara, cheesy garlic bread - it was gorgeous. My partner had the lamb and calamari. The calamari was lovely, however the lamb tasted like Dettol antibacterial spray. It tasted like someone that been sprayed over the food in error. He had 1 bite and left the rest, the waiter asked us was everything okay, we told him it had a chemical ‘dettol’ taste to it and he said it was impossible for that to be the case. We told him to try the food and of course he refused which I understand. He did tell the manager and he came over and asked what was wrong, we told him but as the tables are so close together, it was becoming a bit of a scene. Eventually we told him to just forget about it. Afterwards we went to a fast food chain to fill my partners stomach up as he had only had calamari.

This is the first time we have been to Cibo since they took over from Rosso. The food and service were good and the ambiance is great. It’s not cheap but the food is good quality and well prepared. We mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and they brought us a lovely treat which was a very sweet touch and made our night more special. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
