It’s never a disappointing evening having dinner at The Chowder House! We introduced this yummy establishment to our friends group from high school … everyone loved their meal! Great service, great food … a little noisy but hey in a small venue that’s what happens! And of course we added to the noise 😂😂

The Halibut is always a treat. Best anywhere. And the Chowder House is comfortable.

Great dining experience as usual at Chowder House. We brought my parents tonight to celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday. You certainly didn't disappoint. Great food and service. We love this place

We had a reservation, and were seated at a table that stuck out into the foyer ~ this was very uncomfortable. We both ordered clam chowder and both of us had sand in the soup. When our waitress finally came back and we told her about the sandy clam chowder, she just said "ok" and then cleared the bowls. My husband ordered salmon that he said was pretty good. I ordered the seafood pappardelle that was supposed to have lobster, but had NONE and only two shrimp and three scallops. The sauce was heavy and goopy. The poor food combined with a terrible table and a grumpy waitress ensured that we will never go back.

This was my first experience dining at Chowder House since they moved to the Valley. We arrived shortly before our reservation time and were seated at what seemed a ridiculously small table. There were empty 4-top tables there, set up for two diners, but we got the tiny table. I ordered a seafood pasta dish containing shrimp, scallops, and lobster. The flavor was good, but the “lobster cream sauce” was so cheese heavy that it lost any nuance of the delicate lobster and scallop flavor. Also, all but one of the scallops was overcooked and tough. Overall it was not a terrible dining experience, but I am not in a hurry to return any time soon.

Amazing attentive service. Food was really good. Portion sizes spot on. Seasonal drinks very good. All in all enjoyed our evening.

Anyone looking for a wonderful, small, creative place to enjoy a meal should try Chowder House. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Give it a try!
