Can’t believe it’s taken us so long to find this gem. Food choices were expansive. Food, service and ambience was excellent. Once the construction is complete, the restaurant and surrounding area will be even more amazing.

Food was delicious. Service was great. They are under construction right now but still open. The finished product looks like it will be just gorgeous. Looking forward to coming back.

It was lobster fest. Expected a lobster tail. Not available. Clam chowxder. Still. Outstanding.

Dinner at the Chowder House Cafe is always a delight. We've always had delicious meals and friendly, attentive service. Chowder House is our long time favorite.

All of our food was great. Oysters and clam chowder for apps and halibut and lobster risotto for entrees. We had reservations and it took a bit to get seated anyway and a little bit more to get drinks ordered. But they were very busy and it appeared there were no bus staff and only 2 servers. So we didn’t mind. Our server was great and attentive. We will definitely be back!

We have had dinner several times at Chowder House. We have had good experiences, until last Friday (Aug 2nd). While the restaurant is expanding, there are understandable obstacles during construction, poor air conditioning during a hot muggy summer should not be one of them. It was uncomfortable which made it challenging to enjoy a meal. Then there was our server, she did not introduce herself so I can only describe her as younger, heavier set, with dark hair. I could not determine if she was hot and uncomfortable or if she really did not want to be at work. Whatever the case, being that I am in hospitality, I know good service and she was not in the ballpark. Her responses were snarky and any request was met with an attitude. It made for an all around uncomfortable evening. Very, very disappointed The food was ok but we have had better
