A unique journey of the unexplored flavours of India, Celebrating over 300 years of Calcutta's historic cuisine. Enter a world of adventurous new ingredients, flavours and cooking method artfully curated by Chef turned restaurateur Anjan Chatterjee.
The appetizers-Prawn Cutlet, Calcutta Fish Fry, Welsh Lamb Chops, Nizam's Malai Tikka, Tangra Chilli Chicken and Lotus stem sweet potato Chaat and in the mains you our signature Tiger Prawn Malai Curry, Kosha Lamb, Chicken Chaap, Dak Bungalow Chicken Curry, Grand Trunk Black Dal and the Calcutta Style Biryanis are a must try.
We are at less than one minute's walk from Marble Arch Tube Station at 3, Old Quebec Street which intersects Oxford Street and Bryanston Street.
Inspired with natural rattan-stained furniture and cream walls, the decor captures the essence of architecture of Calcutta. Also has a lovely, cosy alfresco dining with heaters.

    Overrated on the culinary front. Mediocre food. Overpriced. The only redeeming thing was the attentive service.

    I have visited Chourangi multiple times and food is excellent, hence I keep coming back again and again on any special occasion! Only issue is with the ventilation during summery and hot humid days ! I felt hot and stuffy inside ! There are coolers placed inside but they point towards specific tables only! Outdoor seating is available but only to serve drinks!

    Every item on the menu was fantastic. The black dal, makhni paneer, prawn curry, naans, crackling spinach amongst a few others were absolutely delicious.

    My first time here to meet a friend for the Express Lunch. Everything was absolutely delicious, we shared the two chicken starters and a chicken then prawn main along with black dal, potatoes heaps of rice and a refreshing lassi. The taste of each dish was brilliant and I would visit again. The lunch was on the hottest day of the year so far and not many customers which suited us, as did the refreshing air conditioning and ceiling fans.

    Very good Bengali cuisine especially when we do not get such level of cuisine and experience when it comes to Indian ( or Bengali) cuisine in US. However, comparing with some other Indian restaurants in London like Gymkhana Etc. Chaurangi should step up. Yet w great place and will visit again when I am back.

    The Kolkata food was delicious, Bryani Chicken , butter chicken and Dal Makni. I believe it’s abit expensive

    So far the most authentic Bengali cuisine, was better standard before, but now the entire sitting area smells of food, the disabled toilet dowstarirs was not clean, but service was good, although there were few items from the menu on a weekend which were unavailable which was disappointing
