Well… it is like eating in Paris. Fantastic start to finish and John is an excellent server. Cannot wait to return.

My friend and I went to Chouette this evening. Our server was the absolute best. She couldn’t have been more lovely and fun. Our first and second course were fantastic. We had the bacon tarte, escargot, and the lyonnaise salad. These all were too die for. They were incredibly good. The bread and butter was also scrumptious. My friend had the duck, which I thought was good but she thought was too salty. I had the linguine and was so sad it was inedible. The seafood was cooked perfectly. However the sauce, to me, tasted heavily of balsamic vinegar. The server took it off the menu. She said the chef said it might have something to do with the sherry they put in the sauce. That makes sense because it had a very sharp, sour taste to it that was not complimentary to the rest of the ingredients. My friend also said it didn’t look like any of the pictures she saw online of the dish.

Our first visit to Chouette and - WOW - did we enjoy! Loved the holiday decor and ambience. The service was excellent and every dish was sublime. We enjoyed the oysters, a cheese plate, (lovely presentation with chutney, dried fruit and nuts), the tenderloin, salmon, linguine with lobster, ratatouille, and every dessert listed. One of our favorite birthday celebrations in years.

Very good food though servers were a little “too” attentive didnt have lot of time to review menus before being asked again. Not a fan of tables so close to the kitchen especially with how open it is with no doors. no good for viewing. also tables quite small constantly rearranging to fit dishes
