The drinks and the ambiance and the bartenders/service are OUTSTANDING. Would absolutely recommend for drinks with friends. Classy and great Dj! However the food was certainly lacking. In a city known for the food this restaurant missed the mark with the over sauced “crispy” squid making it soggy. Would also skip the vegan GF brownie. Otherwise this place is wonderful for drinks. The spicy Japanese margarita is delicious and the nations favorite cocktail the espresso martini was great!

Beautiful venue and space but everything else is a miss. Service was slow. Portion size is incredibly small, served in small bowls but priced at full portion. Menu descriptions are misleading. Wait staff are friendly but unhelpful. The people they designated as servers had no business bringing out the food. Our server said things like “Hamachi is Japanese for yellowtail” or “Toro is a special type of tuna” or “I guess I should turn the heat down” while he was flaming toro at the table. Sushi and sashimi were nothing special. The Wagyu sirloin stood out but way overpriced. Desserts were terrible. Overall, it was disappointing experience, a complete waste of time and money.

We loved our experience! To be honest we thought that we’d try the spot based on the vibes and atmosphere. However, the food was front and center. The team takes pride in their plating and the flavors are bold and outstanding! The cocktails are well crafted and presented elegantly. The food is so good. Despite it being very busy we had excellent service. We had spicy edamame that was actually spicy. The shishito peppers are always a favorite. These had a miso sauce that was hella good. The tempura was outta control. Easily the best I ever had. The batter was on point, crispy and hot. The shrimp was juicy and delicious. The sushi was very good and generously portioned. We had the tiger roll and the sashimi. The surprise of the night were the spring rolls…I never knew wagyu and plantain were so compatible. Super good. We had to try the churros and they did not disappoint. They went perfectly with the ice cream. We got a really nice place to sit and it was so cozy. We were there for a long time and it didn’t feel like it. Can’t wait to go back!

This is a stunningly beautiful location and reeks of cool from the moment you step in. I’d say the experience was a bit hollow. The food was just fine, the service was just fine, fantastic drinks, but the ambiance was 12/10. The pricing is outlandish if you came for the food. My recommendation. Come with a large group and order everything and then no need to come back. $275 bill for 2 and after we went to the movies and ate nachos and popcorn because we were still hungry.

Chotto Matte is awesome! The food is so delicious, everything. We had the lamb chop, but it was small so we changed to the ribeye steak cooked to perfection. Drink’s & dessert was good too, and the ambience on the rooftop with all the greenery was nice as well. Our server, Gisselle, was so helpful with helping us figure things out. I highly recommend this place.
