We are proud to offer a menu that shares our commitment to sustainable beef sourcing, serving high-quality cuts of 100% Canadian beef. It isn’t just the meat that’s special – it’s also how we cook it. Our Montague broiler cooks at up to 1800 °F, giving a beautiful crust and flavour to every steak! We slow roast our prime rib in a humidity-controlled oven, keeping it mouth-watering and tender. And we put this level of care into each of our hand-crafted drinks, and from-scratch dishes, including plant-based and seafood options, with something for everyone to enjoy. All of this quality comes with energetic rooms, stylish décor, and an award winning patio accompanied by friendly hospitality. We usually visit the Keg that is in our neighbourhood for special occasion dinners but having just gone for Father’s Day, I thought we would venture further and try Chop Steakhouse for a birthday celebration this time. We were sat near a large group who let their young children run amuck, all the while squealing, climbing onto the seats with their shoes and disturbing everyone around them. I don’t fault the restaurant for the ineptitude of the parents though. It’s unfortunate that we were seated near them. We were served some mussels that weren’t open while charged a hefty premium of $22 for the appetizer dish. I expect better and careful selection when plating to ensure that you serve only what is safely edible to clients. The sous vide filet was flavourful but a bit too done for our grilled to medium request. There was no pink whatsoever in the cut. We were served our dinner whilst the appetizer plates where still on the table so my wife piled up the appy plates and gave them to the bussing staff. Not even a thank you in return for doing their job. Now our server was polite and friendly and, I believe, gave her best effort. Waiting to take ours dinner order after the appy was served was a miss though. Since it then added to the wait time. This review uses our usual Keg establishment as the standard and sadly Chop Steakhouse doesn’t compare when it comes to professionals service, quality and value.

Sat outside under the covered patio. It was 28 degrees out, but was comfortable regardless. Ordered the ahi tuna tataki to start along with an avocado Super Bowl and a Madri lager. Fresh food with lots of options and the specialty beer was extremely refreshing for a hot day.

I was very upset because I’ve had bad experience here before, but I thought I would do it another chance. The service I received was unacceptable. Our waitress brought our food and then we were ignored the whole night. We watched the rest of the waitresses at tend to other tables, and our waitress never reappeared. When we ask one of the waitresses to call our waitress., She came in with the bill. No chance to order dessert so we got up and left.

We had a lovely evening out with our little one celebrating my hubbys birthday. Food was delicious and our server was great!

Manager brought a complimentary appetizer to welcome us as first time patrons. Nice added bonus. Food was quite good Dessert trio was enough for the table of 4 to share. Service was exceptional

The food was good aka cob salad with steak. But the portion seems to have shrunk from last year . Usually you get a lot more salad . I guess they want yo keep the price point . Overall still a good experience

Service and food were both excellent, the smoked rib eye was to die for. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants, will certainly be back soon!
