Located on Main Street in the heart of Smithtown, Chop Shop is one of the newest restaurants to arrive on the North Shore. The restaurant’s interior is accented with brick, hardwood flooring, large retro lamp fixtures, and a unique hand painted mural. Chop Shop is stylishly furnished with a professionally run bar.

Chop Shop is the perfect place for casual dining and special occasions, as well as corporate gatherings. Begin your dining experience with a drink selection from our extensive wine list, which offers a variety of great selections, or choose from our exclusive martini menu. Chop Shop’s menu specializes in a variety of sizzling steaks, fresh local seafood, exceptional pasta dishes, seasonal specials and delectable house made desserts.

Open for dinner, reservations are accepted for all size parties. Chop Shop also offers a function room, accommodating private gatherings for 6-20 people, available Monday through Sunday.

Took my kids there for lunch to celebrate graduation. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Would recommend to anyone.

I don’t know what happened to this place. It used to be reliable and good. As soon as I walk in, it smelled like total ball cleaner or a Cheap motel. The portions were ridiculously small given the price point. The sauces were off in taste and someone was going crazy with salt on everything else. I simply can never go back to this place again with so many great options in town such a shame.

My family and I were there for lunch @2:30 on a Monday. The restaurant was empty being a Monday afternoon between lunchtime and dinnertime. The decor is very classy and the seating comfortable. The service was excellent with our waiter on top of all aspects of the meal, and he was extremely polite. We had appetizers including fried calamari and clams oregenata. The calamari was excellent, very light while the clams were disappointing consisting of too much bread crumbs. Caesar salad was perfect! For main courses we had the marinated skirt steak-excellent, salmon-excellent, and rigatoni a la vodka. My daughters loved the rigatoni, which was superb. My wife had the lunch special of chicken parmigiana and linguine, which she loved. We concluded the meal by sharing a warm brownie with ice cream, which left us all satiated. Highly recommend the chop House.

Nice atmosphere, but a little noisy when crowded. Variety of food was very good. Hubby enjoyed the braised lamb shank - said it was the best he’s ever had. I had the grilled octopus with veggies. It was ok - too much char on some of the veggies, could have been more octopus. He had a glass of Cabernet and I had a cosmopolitan. Both good. Service very attentive. Not rushed. Haven’t been here in a while and will go back to try some other items. Good neighborhood restaurant to support.

My wife and I ordered from the prix fixe menu and my son from the regular menu. There are a lot of items on the prix fixe menu that have up charges. The short ribs and skirt steak from the prix fixe menu were very good. Definitely order the skirt steak at medium rare if you usually order it medium. My son's salmon was cooked moist and tasty. The red velvet cake and creme brulee cheesecake were very good. The tiramisu was more cakey than I have experienced at other places and was ok. The Chop Shop cabernet was surprisingly good. Service was very attentive and polite. Very nice dining experience.
